Why I am Thankful For My Internet Friends

The internet is full of 50 year old creepy men according to our parents and teachers. Is it really? I've found some of the most genuine people who I only know through the screen of my phone.

We are across the world from each other, but they have been there for me more times then I can count.

1) They are just as weird as I am. Isn't that how good friendships start? Two people of similar weirdness will notice each other and decide to share more weirdness. We met over the dumbest things, but now I couldn't imagine not having them to message.

2) They know only what they see. My internet friends don't know about the rumors or drama of my small town. They know the pictures of my dog and see the adventures I take. They like the person that I am in this moment.

3) Time zones apart, they are always there. One time I was freaking out about a now non relevant guy and my best online friend was there for me at 2am her time. It is incredible the bond we can have through these websites, texts and skype dates.

4) They give me an excuse to travel. We all talk about ONE DAY, one day when we will meet in an airport and see where they each live. We all talk about what we'd show each other and people we would introduce them to. For example, my friend Natasza has to have my mom's tacos.

5)Time passes, but we still love each other. We are all adulting now. We have jobs and college. So we don't get to talk 24/7, but we are still there when we need someone to talk to or are bored.

I don't know what I would do without my bitchachos, my online friends.

I love them and enjoy stalking their social media and keeping up with their lives. Shoutout to Natasza, Kristen, Kait, Sarah, and Jamie. <3
