Sometimes life gets too overwhelming and it's impossible to even imagine an end to your pain. There will be days when you truly don’t know how things could possibly get better.
But you are here.
You've survived every terrible thing life has thrown your way so far. Surviving that much pain is an achievement worth acknowledging.
You are so much stronger than you feel.
I know you feel like the world is against you.
I know you may feel like the weakest person on Earth, but you aren’t - you’re actually one of the strongest. You have overcome so many challenges and you'll continue to do so.
I hope you learn to take pride in that.
This too shall pass.
I know, I know - could I get any more cliché? But overused or not, it’s right.
You’ve overcome storms in the past and guess what? You're still breathing.
You made it through those and you will make it through whatever comes next. This pain won’t last forever.
You are loved.
You have friends and/or family in your life that love, support, and care about you. They need you.
Fight for them. If you can't find the strength to go on for yourself, do it for the people who would never want to live without you.
You aren’t alone.
We are never as alone as we may feel.
Even when you feel like the world is against you and there's no possible way anyone has been through something similar, there are plenty of others who have felt the same pain.
Life is beautiful.
Even if the darkest days, there are so many things to be thankful for. The world may be absolutely falling apart around you, but there's still so much beauty to take in.
Go for a hike, watch the sunset, sit in your backyard and watch the wind blow through the trees. You can find so much to be grateful for if you just take the time to look.
Tomorrow is a new day.
No matter how horrible your day was, here's the upside: today will be gone soon.
Each day is a fresh slate, we have the ability to make it anything we want it to be. Tomorrow is always an opportunity for a better day.
