November 9th, 2016 history was made.
Donald J. Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States of America.
A man that has never run for any office.
A man that has never held a government position.
A man with no political experience what so ever.
A man deemed the under-dog in this election from the beginning.
A man who was predicted to lose by a landslide to Hillary Clinton.
A man criticized and attacked for his blunt nature and honest opinions.
A man that the world never saw coming...
Is now holding the honored title of President-Elect of the United States.
It is times like these that make you realize just how great America truly is. We can see now that this land is full of opportunities that others don’t have. What we’ve witnessed is the truth behind the saying, “you can be whatever you choose to be”.
We see that this great country is truly run by its people. We now see that our voices are in fact being heard. We can see that our votes really do count and we can really make a difference.
How else would a man with absolutely no political experience, a man the government can't control, a man the media hates, become our president-elect?
No matter who you voted for in this election, thank you for voting. Thank you for exercising your right to vote, a right that many people don’t have. Thank you for standing firm with who and what you believe in. Thank you for making sure your voice was heard.
At the end of the day we are all Americans. We all bleed red and we all deserve to be heard and appreciated. We all love and want what’s best for this country. Whether you are Republican, Democrat or Third Party, we all deserve to have that voice and be a part of deciding America’s future.
For those of you that don’t consider this a win, I want to encourage you not to worry. Donald Trump did not run just for Republicans; he ran for the people that were desperately wanting their voices to be heard. He doesn’t just have his political party’s best interest at heart, he has the country’s.
He won’t just stand for the people that supported his campaign, but for every American that allows him to. He doesn’t want to ruin this country; he wants to make it great again. He doesn’t just want to be our president; he wants to make history and change our country for the better.
For those of you that do consider this a win, imagine how you’d feel if this election had gone the other way. You’d be scared, anxious, worried, and probably a little miserable. Understand that and be courteous to those around you. They are still your neighbors and your friends.
We all need to treat each other with respect and dignity. We all need to treat each other like the Americans we are. The election has come to an end. Stop drawing the party lines and focus on building America back up and coming together as one nation.
Focus on “Making America Great Again”.
