She puts up walls to keep from getting hurt. She's already been hurt by many, and doesn't want to go through that anymore.
Every time someone tried to get through she pushed them away. If she hadn't experienced heartbreak, she wouldn't have those walls.
She doesn't see that even though she's going through something so painful, it's a direct result of something so beautiful.
If she hadn't experienced heartbreak, she hadn't experienced love.
She will try again and again to not let you in, but if you want to be with her, try harder to show her what she means to you.
If you manage to get through, know that it wasn't easy for her. You must be something very special. Make her happy. Treat her well, as she will do for you. Kiss her, lots. Make her laugh. Tell her why you love her. Every day. Don't ever stop showing her.
Her love will feel like sunshine, like a warm hug, like dancing in the rain.
She will put you first, before anyone else. Sometimes even herself. She will support you, always be there when you need her. She will take you on new adventures, and share her deepest secrets with you.
Her smile will give you butterflies, every time.
Sometimes she will cry, get upset over something, or over nothing at all. She will try to push you away, but you already have her heart.
She loves you, and you know this. Don’t take that lightly. Love her gentle, patient, always. Don’t ever stop showing her.
Love her like you mean it.
"Her heart was a secret garden, and the walls were very high" - William Goldman, The Princess Bride
