We've been "best friends" for a while now, but lately, It all seems to be one-sided, and the worst part of it is you don't even realize it.
You go around with your head held high, acting like everything you've done is okay, and it's not.
I'm not perfect. I make mistakes, like everyone else, but at least I'm constantly fighting for our friendship, even when you don't.
I have been there for you since day one, always rearranging my schedule to be on your terms. Have I ever once complained? No, because that's what friends do.
You say that you're there. You say that you try. So I’m just wondering exactly which time you’re talking about.
When have you ever tried? How have you even attempted to be there fo me? Oh, that’s right, you haven't.
And yet you still manage to turn it around on me when I call you out on it. Honestly, that’s impressive.
I’ve reached a point where I’m done trying. Having a friend who is too "busy" with her own life to care about her friend’s isn't something I'm interested in.
Life gets hard and people get busy, that I do understand. But in those same lines though, people make time for who they want to make time for, and the sad fact is you don't make time for me anymore.
You threw my problems in my face as if they were such small things. As if I should just ‘get over’ it so you could stop hearing about it.
That was the worst for me because, despite everything, I've never once belittled your problems in the way you did to me. What kind of friend does that? Certainly, not a best friend.
You see, the thing you don't understand is that you have everything so easy.
You are a privileged person who has had a lot of things handed to you in your life and the truth is you don't even know what it means to struggle on such a level that other people do. To be so broken and depressed that you can't even breathe.
But have I ever thrown that in your face? Not once.
I'm fed up with trying when you clearly don't care about our friendship, and I refuse to be treated as if I don't matter for one second longer.
It’s been real, but I’m done with your pathetic excuse of friendship.
