Since the election results were announced there have been riots and protests all over America. There has been an uproar from American people that is becoming all too common.
It seems as though America has learned that if you don't get your way the solution is to riot in the streets. The solution is now violence, not peace. The solution is to burn our flag, not hold it up and march. The solution is to vandalize our communities, not work together to improve them. The solution is to put down and hate anyone that opposes you, not hear them or debate. The solution is to kill and destroy, not renew and fix.
THIS is the reason the election turned out the way it did. THIS is the reason all of our polls were wrong. THIS is the reason so many people are so desperate for change. THIS is the reason Donald Trump is our President-Elect.
The people that voted for Trump are tired of the mess that our country has become and the mockery people have made of it.
We are tired of being silenced. We are tired of being intimidated. We are tired of being made to look like a bunch of damn hooligans.
Our country has begun to act like a five-year-old that's never been disciplined. Our country has begun to act like a bunch of entitled, snotty teenagers. Our country has begun to act like we're all owed something.
No one owes you shit!
YOU are ruining the cities you and your families live in. YOU are causing the violence and upset. YOU are the ones pushing us for change and getting pissed off when it happens.
It has become common to no longer debate with those you disagree with, but to shut them down and insult them. It has become common to physically attack people for disagreeing with you. These common things should NOT be common in a free country!
Half of you rioting and protesting don’t even know what the hell you’re doing it for! You just think it’s “cool” and a good way to get out of class (which is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous). It SHOULD be a good way to get yourselves arrested and spend the night in jail!
We voted in an election and Trump won. Now get over it!
That’s the way this country works. If you don’t like it, get back in class, work your ass off, and run for president yourself.
Stop throwing a tantrum like a three-year-old and grow the hell up.
If Hillary had been elected and we were rioting and protesting, you’d call us out without hesitating. But we have to be “politically correct” these days and can’t say what’s on our minds without the fear of having the shit beat out of us or our cities burnt to the ground.
Personally, I’m all too tired of this “pity me” bull that everyone is pulling. I worked my ass off to get where I am and I owe no one anything, especially those that feel as though they should be handed everything. I’m not homophobic, sexist, xenophobic, Islamophobic, or racist.
I’m a woman willing to give anything I can to help those around me if only they put forth an effort to help themselves first. I’m a woman tired of hearing a mournful cry from those who sounded the battle cry first. I’m a woman tired of being stereotyped by those that are all too ready to ask me not to judge them or their actions.
I’m a woman tired of hearing sob stories when I have plenty of my own but have overcome them. I’m a woman tired of hearing how hard everyone else has it when I’ve been in the same situations as you. I’m a woman tired of hearing about changes that people want for this country when no one has the courage to act on them.
I’m a Trump supporter. I’m a hard-working American. I’m desperate for change.
You didn’t hear our battle cries over your own but we heard yours. You didn’t hear of the change we wanted, but we listened to the change you wanted. You didn’t accept us, but we accepted you.
And while not all of us are the same, and not all of us are as tolerable or accepting as I am, the majority are people thinking the same thing as me.
You can’t just shut us out because you don’t like what we have to say. You can’t become insulted at every little thing we say while throwing names and insults that would make your mother want to wash your mouth out with soap. Your way to incite “change” isn’t working anymore so it’s our turn to try now.
It’s time for you to get back into the swing of things. I’m free to wear whatever I’d like. I’m free to fly whatever flag I’d like. I’m free to style my hair however I like. I'm free to support whatever candidate I choose to.
Those things have nothing to do with you. Telling me that my shirt, hair or flag offends you because of your “culture” is abso-freaking-lutely ridiculous. We’re Americans. That’s OUR culture and this is OUR country.
Things will not always turn out the way you’d like, but that’s life.
Grow up, get over it, stop all of this nonsense rioting and protesting, and become the change you want to see in this country, not the thing the rest of us would like to change.
