He broke your heart again, sweet girl, didn’t he?
He made you feel like you were the one, talked about the future like he saw you in his, only to pull a 180 and leave.
This happens with guy after guy until you start to feel like you’re the problem. Maybe you're the reason they don't want to stay.
It seems like your personality is always either too much or not enough for them. You're too strong but also too weak.
But I'm here to tell you, you're not.
You are not the unreciprocated chances you gave, the feelings that seemed to dim out of nowhere, or the closure you may never get.
You are not too much or too strong of a lover. Who in their right mind wants a love that is anything but strong?
You are so much more than the guy who couldn’t love you.
You are a firework whose one of a kind combustion leaves people in awe of your beauty and magnetism.
You are the matchstick needed to light someone else’s perfectly unique candle, that someone you have yet to find.
You haven't been trampled by love, you've been transformed.
You’ve become wiser, stronger, and filled with so much more love and now you know it's worth waiting until you can give it to the right person.
The brokenness you think defines you, actually makes you shine. Your scars are a beacon to the person searching for you, like a lighthouse leading a boat back home.
Each step of this sometimes lonely path is leading you to something incredible.
Some people are lucky enough to reach the end of their paths quickly. Others, like you and me, find themselves on what seems like a never-ending one.
Each path cannot be the same.
You may not be as ready as you think. Life may be trying to help you navigate one struggle at a time so you'll learn and grow into a person who can accept the love you deserve.
Maybe you are ready but the person meant for you isn't – remember, he has his own struggles to deal with, too.
Be patient. The lessons you're learning in the meantime will only help you love harder and longer.
Don’t give up and turn your nose to the sky quite yet. Love is patient, so you must be too.
