She tells herself time will heal her wounds...but then he texts her and it's like her heart is breaking for the first time all over again.
They go through the same vicious cycle over and over, he gets her hopes up only to let her down all over again. She wonders how he can reel in her heart time and time again after he shattered it so thoroughly.
Her heart still aches for him.
She needs him to leave her be, to just stop texting her, but he refuses.
All she wants is to move on from this despair he's left her trapped in.
Yet he keeps her hanging on by a thread. Every time his name pops up on her phone, she knows how it's going to end...but she's still tied to him enough to reply every single time.
When he broke up with her, it hurt like hell.
She missed everything about him: the memories they made in their short time together, the fun they'd had, and really just him on the whole.
But now she's asking him to please stop re-breaking her heart. She needs to move on and he should too.
If he ever cared about her, he'll do the right thing and just walk away for good.
He'll let her face the agony he caused alone because that's the only way she'll heal. He won't give her the option of hearing his voice because he knows she's not strong enough to turn it down yet.
If he loved her at all, even for a moment, he'll let her go in peace; leave her to find someone who wants to be with her, because by now it's blatantly obvious that he doesn't.
