When No One Knows the Right Thing to Say: 10 Grey's Quotes for Any Kind of Day

Sometimes, you just have those days where no one knows the right thing to say… That’s when we must turn to Grey’s…

1. “Each of you comes here today a hopeful. Wanting in on the game. A month ago you were in med school being taught by doctors. Today, you are the doctors. The seven years you spend here as a surgical resident will be the best and worst of your life. You will be pushed to the breaking point. Look around you. Say hello to your competition.

Eight of you will switch to an easier specialty. Five of you will crack under the pressure and two of your will be asked to leave. This is your starting line. This is your arena. How well you play? That’s up to you.” – Richard Webber

2. “Don’t let what he wants eclipse what you need. He’s very dreamy… But he’s not the sun. You are.” – Christina Yang

3. “People have scars. In all sorts of unexpected places. Like secret road maps of their personal history. Diagrams of all their old wounds. Most of our wounds heal, leaving nothing behind but a scar. But some of them don’t. Some wounds we carry with us everywhere and though the cuts, long gone, the pain still lingers.” – Meredith Grey

4. “Shut up. Just shut up. You don’t get to tell me that we’re not together. We are together. Because I love you and you love me, and none of the rest of it matters.” – Arizona Robins

5. “The harder the hit, the more it’ll sting; that’s usually the case. So, we prescribe. Meds, ice, compression, elevation…things you do to stop the immediate pain. But you can only dull the pain for so long, and when the drugs start to wear off, it really hurts. There’s a reason these fixes are called temporary.

They were never meant to last forever. So what happens when you’re faced with a fix that’s more permanent? Do you fight it? Do you try to resist? Or do you step back and decide that maybe acceptance is the best fix of all?” – Meredith Grey.

6. “When I was five, my mom lost me in a park. I don’t remember much except, that one minute I was riding the carousel and the next she was gone. I don’t remember how I found her. I don’t remember how I got home. All I remember is what happened next. She told me not to worry.

She told me everything would be fine. Funny isn’t it, the way memory works? The things you can’t quite remember, and the things you can never forget. The carousel never stops turning. She told me not to worry; she told me everything would be fine. Funny, the way memory works. The things you can’t quite remember, and the things you can never forget.” – Meredith Grey

7. “For a kiss to be really good, you want it to mean something. You want it to be with someone you can’t get out of your head, so that when your lips finally touch you feel it everywhere. A kiss so hot and so deep you never want to come up for air. You can’t cheat your first kiss. Trust me, you don’t want to. ‘Cause when you find that right person for a first kiss, it’s everything.” – Alex Karev

8. “I think she’s more than you bargained for, but I think when the world gives you more than you bargained for, you usually end up glad you got it.” – Richard Webber

9. “There comes a point where it all becomes too much. When we get too tired to fight anymore. So we give up. That’s when the real work begins…” – Christina Yang

10. “I grew up in Beverly Hills. The only Chinese I know is from Mr. Chow’s menu. Besides, I’m Korean…” – Christina Yang

RIP To The Girl You Used To Take For Granted.

You used to take me for granted.

You used to dominate me in any way possible
to make yourself feel “like a man“.

You made me feel so little and small,
like I couldn’t do anything right.

I used to walk on egg shells just to please you.

I sat alone many nights while you were out
doing what you do

I did so many sweet things for you and you
never went out of your way to do anything for me.

Your insecurities made you treat me that way.

Well, not anymore.

I’ve realized my worth.

I deserve better than that.

I should of never let you take my “self” from me.

I won’t stand for it anymore.

I took back control.

I LOVE MYSELF.

I will surround myself with people who love me.

I’ve set new boundaries for the people
in my life and the people of my future.

Someone, one day, will see my worth
and will treat me like the motherfuck!ng princess I am.

I would wish you nothing but the best….
but you’ve already had it.

Note to the readers:

Know your worth.
You can’t sit in the front row if your tickets say “balcony”…

Things you need to know before having kids.

Almost everyone has dreams about having a perfect,
white picket fence family at one point or another in their lives.
Being a mom I'm here to inform everyone of a few things
BEFORE you decide to have a miniature you running circles around you.

#1. Sleep.
Sleep? WHAT IS SLEEP? Does it even exist anymore? I mean really…
Between the newborn stages, waking up to feed or those dreadful gas pains.
If you love your sleep, be prepared to give that part of your life up.

#2. Mommy Brain.
"What the hell is Mommy brain?" Is what you're probably thinking.
HAH. Let's just say, remember that thing you have to do next Tuesday?
Well, I don't. Memory loss at it's finest. (Lol) It's normal, no need to panic.

#3. FRAGILE.
I feel like babies need a sticker on their foreheads. "Fragile"
"Be careful with contents of package." Something like that….

#4. You WILL, I repeat, you WILL make mistakes.
It's OKAY! Breathe. Do not be afraid to ask for help. Babies can be
difficult at times and even exhausting. If you don't have help, lay the baby
down in a safe place and step away for a few minutes to gather yourself [:

#5. Breast or bottle??
WHO GIVES A FLYING…….(calm down Brit, calm down)
Feed your baby the way YOU feel comfortable. Just make sure it's not
like a steak or something completely crazy, hehe.

#6. Stages of the ages.
Newborn, terrible twos, threenager, the "why?" phase, the potty training.
It's a lot at times and you wonder if it will ever end… It will…..eventually!

#7. Let your children be children.
Let them get dirty, let them play, let them run wild.
Always make sure they are respectful, but let them be children.
Don't let your baby grow up too fast..

#8. It goes by FAST.
Before you know it you have a one year old, then a five year old,
then they are in school, then they are in high school, then they are graduating
and going to college then moving out.

Being a parent is the most rewarding job you will ever have.

CHERISH EVERY MOMENT!!!

8 Signs You're Loving The One You Shouldn't.

When in a relationship you should be with someone that
makes you feel loved and makes you genuinely, unconditionally
happy. Nothing less. Here are a few signs to make you aware
of who you shouldn’t be in love with….

1] You should be able to be yourself, completely. If you can’t
dance and sing in the car along to your favorite song without
feeling like you are being judged they are probably not the one.
If you can’t do the things you love to do because of his/her opinions,

They’re probably not the one.

2] If every encounter leaves you burnt out and feeling a sense
of guilt or relief when he/she leaves,

They’re probably not the one.

3] If the thought of spending the day/evening with your partner
doesn’t leave you with butterflies and a smile from ear to ear,

They’re probably not the one.

4] Arguments.. Arguments are an important part of a relationship.
Everyone has them, but if you are feeling totally dominated by the
other person instead of gaining/learning something from the argument,

They’re probably not the one.

5] If you can’t picture your future with them.. Whether it be kids,
a family, marriage, or just a lifetime with them,

They’re probably not the one.

6] If you have to be very cautious and feel the need to tip toe around
your partner.. If you are not comfortable with talking to them or doing something
because you’re worried about how they will feel/what they will say… If you have
to over-think things before you present it to them,

They’re probably not the one.

7] If you’re relationship is at a standstill, and hasn’t moved forward for
quite some time,

They’re probably not the one.

8] If you don’t want to show them off to your friends and family..
If you’re too embarrassed by their actions so you segregate
yourself from everyone else,

They’re probably not the one.

The one you want to spend the rest of your life with should
support you in everything you do. They should want to fit in
well with your family/friends because it makes you happy.
They should always want to push and build you up rather than
pull and tear you down. Protect your heart. You only have one.

To The "Man" That Left Me Behind As A Child.

I looked at you like the stars in the sky.
You were perfect in my eyes.

What did I do wrong for you not to love me?

I was a child asking myself what was wrong with me?

Days went by, still nothing.

I cried myself to sleep at night,
PRAYING you would come home.

You didn't.

I started to grow up.
I resented you.
I didn't long for you anymore.

I realized everyone was right,
YOU were the one missing out. Not me.

Going to my friends houses and seeing them
with their fathers made me jealous.

How could you just forget about me?

I never got that protection over me like a father does
for his daughter.

You stole that from me.

As I grew up, I thought less and less about you.
But somehow, you always seemed to creep back up on me.

I went on dates, dated a few guys.
But it didn't feel right. I didn't know how a guy was supposed
to treat me so I let them treat me like dirt.

You weren't there to make sure they treated me
like a princess.

I have trust issues now.
Ones too deep to ever be able to fill.

And the worst part about it is,
knowing I'm getting older and I'll get married one day….

& I won't have you to walk me down the aisle.

11 Reasons Fall Is The Best Season!

Summer has ended and Halloween candy is starting to fill the shelves.
Here's 10 reasons why Fall is the best time of the year….

1. School
Face it, all the little brats (just kidding) are going back to school! Time for some peace and quiet without the chaos. Hey, you can even take a nap to catch up on all the sleep you missed over the summer.

2. Bonfires!
Huddling around a bonfire with friends and family has always been a favorite. Roasting s'mores and hotdogs. Cuddling up with the love of your life, or maybe enjoying a few drinks with friends you haven't seen in a while.

3. Sweaters/Hoodies/Sweatpants/Boots
CUTE COMFY CLOTHES! Need I say anymore? Uggs, knee high boots, fur filled slippers. Seriously, what's better???

4. FALL COLORS and Leaves Falling
The sky suddenly becomes more blue when you can see more of it. The leaves have turned yellow, orange, red.. They became crispy and fell from the tree. Time to rake them up and jump on in!

5. FOOTBALLLLLLL!
Your favorite team, friends, pizza, wings, beer, nachos. Need I say more?

6. Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Patches!
Spending quality time with family (especially the kids) is always a plus. It's fun finding yourself through a million dead ends and running through an endless field of pumpkins to find the biggest one, perfect for carving a face out of!

7. Pumpkin Flavored WHAT?
Yes, everything and I mean EVERYTHING is pumpkin flavored this time of year. Coffee, donuts, pumpkin yogurt flavored pretzels, pumpkin spice waffles, pumpkin bread. Pumpkin, pumpkin, pumpkin!

8. Haunted Houses!
BOO! Scared ya, didn't I? (Lol) Who doesn't like the adrenaline of a haunted house!

9. Halloween
Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet!
One of my personal favorite times of the year. Why? CANDY! Sugar. CHOCOLATE. Dressing up in fun costumes and plus more quality time as a family!

10. Hot Cocoa
I don't know anyone who doesn't like a nice hot cup of hot cocoa on a cold fall morning. It warms up your soul. Plus, it's chocolate.

11. Thanksgiving and being Thankful.
Thanksgiving is I'm pretty sure everyone's favorite day to indulge in a never ending supply of delicious home baked food and goodies. Take time to make a list of everything you are thanklful for. Let the people you love and care about most know how much they are loved.
