Letter To My Future Son

Dear son,

To my precious little boy, I love you more than you will ever know. From the moment I heard your first heart beat and saw you when you looked like a little jelly bean. You have been my world.  From the day you were born and held you for the first time I knew you were something special.

When you were little I taught you how to be a gentleman. We would go out on special dates. I would teach you to open the door for ladies and be a respectful gentleman.

I knew one day you were going to make one good husband. I just dreaded the day to give up my little baby boy.

Now that the day is near I hope you have stayed true to the things I have taught you.  Be the greatest husband and father that you could ever be.

I am so proud of everything that you have accomplished in your life.

You have made me the proudest mom in the whole world.

I love you more than you will ever know.

Love you son.

Love,

Your mom

Why Marrying In My 20s Was My Best Decision Ever

As we go through life we all hope that one day we find our soul mate. The person we can go through life together and grow old with. For some this may happen later on in life and for others this may happen much sooner.

We all have been taught that we need to have a stable job, a house, traveled the world, and enjoyed your time as a single person before settling down.

As for me I don't see the point on waiting and doing all of this stuff on your own if you have already found the "one". Why live life on your own when you could be doing all this with the person you know your going to grow old with.

Getting married in your early 20's you constantly get asked the question why? Why are you tying yourself down? Why are you making this bad decision? Don't you want to have any more fun? Why don't you want to date other guys?

Yes, I may be 21 years old but no thank you, I don't want to date anyone else. I never lowered my standards. I never was anyone but myself and I found the one who was meant for me. I love him and he loves me.

We didn't make a stupid impulse decision, also it wasn't a shut gun wedding. We may have been young but we found the one whom our souls love. We found our soul mate.

Through thick and thin I know he will be there for me no matter what. Doesn't matter if you found the love of your life at 21 or 61 when you know you just know and there is no debating about that.

"To love is nothing.

To be loved is something.

But to love and be loved, that's everything."

Why True Love Isn't A Disney Fairytale

They say that you will find the “one”. The one that makes you smile just even thinking about them. The one who gives you a warm feeling when you look across the room and see them looking at you.

I didn’t think I would be lucky enough to find this kind of love. Never did I think I would find a guy who would love me like he does. To this day it still blows my mind on how I got such a great guy.

Even though I got this amazing guy who treats me with the upmost respect everything is not this “fairytale” that Disney makes it out to be. Everyone is human, we all make mistakes, and guys can’t read our minds.

As little girls we have watched Cinderella and many other fairytales where we see the guy perfectly pursue the girl and win her over. We see the perfect wedding and a perfect glimpse into their future and that is what we expect for our lives, because that’s all we see.

Don’t get me wrong I love watching these kinds of movies. What I don’t like is the false hope it gives young girls. The happily ever after that movies portrays are very inaccurate. In real life you still get your happily ever after just in a different way,

When you get married you have to learn to live with each other, learn each other’s flaws, and pick your battles to fight. Marriage isn’t easy but it’s worth it.

You have to choose to love each other every day. When it gets hard or it’s not the perfect Disney movie people bail and marriages fall apart.

So to any girl out there who is married and thinking is this my real life Disney fairytale? The answer is YES YES it is.  Remember you only saw the highlights in the movies not the flaws.

A dream is a wish your heart makes

When you’re fast asleep

In dreams you lose your heartaches

Whatever you wish for, you keep.

— “Cinderella”

10 Things To Know Before Dating An Introvert

So you find yourself a nice girl. She is smart and pretty and you feel like you hit the jack pot.

1. Big crowds aren't her thing. Take her to a big event. Yes, she may enjoy it but if there is more then 3 people there don't expect to hear her talk.

2. She can not start a conversation. No matter how hard she tries if your with people she doesn't know or with a big group nothing will come to her mind. And when I say nothing I mean NOTHING.

3. On that note if we are in a small group setting and are comfortable we love talking if someone can start up the conversation.

4. We are not mad or judgmental. Just because we can sit in a group of people for 2 hours and not talk does not mean we are not enjoying ourselves. We are just content how we are.

5. Trying new things scare us to death. We need someone to push us and help us try things in life. We do like the have fun!

6. Takes awhile to warm up. New environments intimidate us, give us time to warm up to our new surroundings and people and then we will open up on our own time.

7. Yes, we are a homebody. I mean what introvert person would not like to spend their evening at home not worrying about talking to anyone and just watching Netflix? Everyone hello.

8. Having a deep conversation? Yes, it is doable just make sure it is one on one and we have a cup of coffee before hand.

9. We want to get to know people and have fun in group settings we just don't have the guts to do it. You might try it once then run away cause it sounded better in your head.

10. Most of all we just want to enjoy life and have fun in our own way (:

The Stereotypical White Girl In The Fall

First off fall brings many great things to us, nice cold crisp air, and beautiful colored leaves. It lets you wear those cute leggings that you have wanted to wear since summer rolled around. Let’s put it this way it’s a nice change from those hot summer days dripping in sweat.

But in all reality there is just those girls that LOVE fall time. It is there time of the year.

1.      Basically since last fall you have a countdown to when you can order you PSL latte again, and when that time comes around it’s the best day of the year.

2.      Oh and when you favorite PSL comes out you MUST Instagram it, and every time after you must post it to social media.

3.      The most comfy idea to you in the fall is leggings, scarf, boots and a PSL in your hand.

4.      You MUST make sure you take at least one “fall??? photo for Instagram. Remember to get your boots, kick some autumn colored leaves at your feet, oh and don’t forget your PSL of course.

5.      Basically your diet is consumed of Pumpkin flavored coffee, tea, ice-cream, bread, muffins, pancakes, and heck maybe even your water has some pumpkin flavor in it.

6.      Your house is consumed by pumpkin spice candles.

But seriously… what is better than having a pumpkin spiced candle burning in your house, eating some fresh pumpkin bread, while drinking a PSL Latte?

Let’s just say I am definitely the Pumpkin Spiced Latte kind of girl!

Dear Mom and Dad, Before I Move Away

“Without the inspiration, drive, and support that you have given me, I might not be the person I am today.”

Mom & Dad,

I want to thank you for everything that you have taught me growing up. For loving me unconditionally since the day I was born.

You have taught me what is right from what is wrong. I may have not have liked the discipline that you gave me growing up but it made me into the person that I am today.

From spankings to lifelong lectures, you've molded me into the person that I am today.

The support you have shown me throughout my years is amazing. You where there to help guide me through the small things like having a lemonade stand in the front yard to helping me study for a big exam to helping me pick out my first car.

Through it all you were by my side guiding me.

I am so grateful for everything you have done for me. I will never be able to put it into words. I cherish all the fun memories that we have.

I love looking back on photos I have where you guys dropped me off at kindergarten and now where you’re dropping me off in my dorm room.

I look forward to those long weekends and holidays where I can come home. I look forward to mom’s home cooking and being able to sit on the couch watching movies with the family.

No matter how far away we live you will always be my parents that I love so much.

Forever and Always,

Your loving child
