- You get to more than likely live by yourself
Chances are your roommates will go home for the summer, leaving you in the house by yourself. It’s only been a few days of summer and I already miss my roommates, but I will admit I love having the house to myself. Nobody cares if I don’t wash my dishes after dinner, I can leave my towels in the dryer till I feel like folding them or I can leave all my bags next to the front door when I get home from a long day at work.
- You’ll stay more focused if you’re in summer classes
If you are enrolled in summer quarter/ semester even if they are online you’ll stay more focused in your courses and more than likely get better grades! Got to keep that GPA up for graduation! Although it will be summer and warm outside, you will still be in your atmosphere that you’re used to being in during the school year for classes, rain or shine.
- You get to still enjoy going home
Sometimes after being away at college for nine months, going home to your parent’s house for the summer is a real wakeup call. Suddenly after having no clue what you’ve been up to for the last nine months your parents will want to know where you are. Staying at college for the summer still gives you your personal space and everything while still getting to enjoy going home for the weekends, holidays, family functions, etc.
- No more lines or waiting on Taco Tuesday
When you go out for Taco Tuesday or Dollar Beer Night the lines won’t be as long because most the students who fill up the bars every week have gone home to fill up their hometown bars. Take advantage of not waiting for your food or drinks as long all summer!
- There are only 4 years of this lifestyle
You only get to live in your home away from home for 4 years. Where your friends are just down the street, you can go to events like dollar beer nights, not be consumed with only working at a corporate job, and you can wear sweat pants every day of the week and nobody is going to judge you. Stay at college and enjoy it!
- You don’t have to feel like you’re missing out by going home
You won’t feel like you’re missing out on evening bike rides with your friends, going to the river on your days off, dollar beer nights, $5 burger nights, Taco Tuesdays, movie nights, drinking margaritas on your deck, all those fun summer activities you probably wouldn’t get to do at home working 40+ hours a week!
