What Is With Women’s Dumb Obsession With Wearing Leggings Everywhere?

In a world where women have been held down by the strong, long arm of men—we’ll do just about anything to succeed. Fighting tooth and nail, clawing our way to the top, it takes a lot more for a woman to reach success than it does a man. In all honesty, I’m proud to be a woman—damn proud. But, in order to reach my peak, I have had to fight for my right. And, a lot of this had to do with the way in which I hold and present myself in the public eye.

So often, I see women going out in public—to dinner, shopping, even on job interviews—wearing workout attire. Things such as leggings, shorts, big t-shirts, and hoodies—they make you look sloppy and unpresentable. Sure, comfort is key and many women wish to be more comfortable than walking through the world in heels. And, sure, many women believe that heels were invented by men to make women hard to chase—but, in all reality, some of the things women want to do away with due to “feminism” like skirts, dresses, and heels, actually makes you look professional and confident.

Think about this: if you were to walk into a job interview wearing leggings and Nikes, would you get hired? If you’re looking to work at a gym or fitness company—sure. But, as someone working in the corporate world, you need to dress for success.

But, this shouldn’t stop as soon as you leave your office.

Putting time and effort into the way you look gives you a sense of confidence that can become contagious. The way you feel about yourself can, many times, be read by others meeting you for the first time, or even those you surround yourself with every day. Why would you want to walk the world feeling sluggish and sloppy, when you can walk around feeling successful and thriving?

While social media and trends may dictate your life, you may fall into the traps of looking acertain way to “fit in.” But, fitting in may not always be what’s best for you. Instead of doing what everyone else is doing, and wearing what everyone else is wearing, make your own path. Don’t just reserve your “nice” clothes for important occasions and events—wear them regularly.

Try it out—even for a week, and watch how much your world will change.

Newlywed Discovers Husband’s Micro Peen On Honeymoon After He Insisted On Waiting Until Marriage

A newlywed whose husband insisted on marriage before sex wants to know if she’s the a**hole for feeling deceived after finally discovering he has a “micropenis” on their honeymoon.

Written by a 27-year-old using a throwaway account and shared to Reddit’s “Am I the A**hole?” sub, the post begins by detailing the couple’s whirlwind romance.

She had only known her 32-year-old husband for about a year before the two finally tied the knot, during which time he repeatedly staved off her sexual advances—not because he was religious, but because he was “old fashioned like that.” ???

So, we only dated for six months. We’ve been engaged for another six and just got married on Saturday. I literally just got back from my honeymoon a couple hours ago.

My husband isn’t a religious guy, he just says he is “old fashioned like that.” We got close to fooling around a couple times but it never went far. I tried, but he always stopped after it went “too far”.

Anyway, fast forward to now…

OP wants to know: Is she the a**hole for being upset? She elaborates that her intention is not to shame him, nor is it to seek any concrete advice about next steps—she just wants to know if her feelings of betrayal are justified.

Am I the a**hole for reading into this and being upset that I waited until my wedding night to find out that he probably isn’t as “old fashioned” as he says he is? I’m not going to shame him and honestly I don’t even know how I’ll broach the topic (and I’m not seeking advice).

I honestly just acted like nothing was out of the ordinary and went to town with him, but…I dunno. I kind of feel lied to.

Like a halftruth…or something was intentionally withheld from me. This was unexpected, to say the least. And if you read this far, thanks for your time.

Though there were some (jerks, tbh) who felt as though OP got what she deserved for marrying someone so soon into their relationship, most agreed that she was justified in feeling lied to and betrayed.

Redditors are convinced that the husband’s shameless betrayal signals OP has far bigger things (ha ha) to worry about in the future.

At some point, people demanded clarification of ‘micro’ to determine what that meant in terms of functionality/childbearing, etc.

OP replied.

THIS…is why you always test drive before you buy.

Penn Badgley Wants You To Stop Thirsting Over His Psycho ‘You’ Character

Netflix’s delectable show You has quickly become the binge-watch of the month, and for good (great!) reason. The characters are complex, the drama is soap-opera level, and the Penn Badgley is hot.

giphy

???CAUTION: SPOILER ALERT???

Here’s the thing: Joe Goldberg is hot despite the fact that he is a serial killer, a stalker, lurker, stage five creeper, and disturbing collector of teeth and used tampons. Sure, this is partly due to the fact that he looks like Penn Badgley. But it’s also because Beck sucks in every way, Joe Goldberg is a good guy in some ways, and being someone’s complete obsession has undeniable appeal to many women (me).

Social media has confirmed that I was not the only rooting for the anti-hero all season long.

But Penn Badgley is not here for it. The actor took to Twitter to remind fans that sympathizing with and romanticizing Joe is dangerous and problematic. On account of him being a sociopathic murderer.

First of all, he won’t kidnap you. So don’t ask.

Secondly, Joe is hot, yeah, but he’s also hella problematic—says Penn.

Stop using his attractiveness as reason to stan.

twitter

STOP IT!!!

twitter

No amount of arguing about his godlike facial structure or full head of delicate curls will force him to change his mind!

twitter

It’s about the crazy on the inside, not the beauty on the outside.

twitter

And, maybe, just maybe, Joe Goldberg is a version of Gossip Girl’s Dan Humphrey, all grown up.

Badgley also confirmed there will be a second season of You, joking that he’ll use the compliments and Joe shippers as motivation.

Just 20 Perfect Tumblr Posts About Netflix’s ‘You’

If you’re here, you’ve probably binge-watched Netflix’s You like the rest of us. (If not, then what are you doing here and needless to say, SPOILER ALERT.)

So you deeply understand the love-hate relationship it’s impossible to avoid when it comes to Joe… and Beck…and basically every other character on the show. But especially Joe.

That’s part of the beauty of it—Beck sucks so bad (don’t @ me) that you have no choice but to sympathize with Joe (doesn’t hurt that he’s very, very easy on the eyes) despite the fact that he’s a psycho stalker murderer.

Anyway, here are some Tumblr posts that totally get your raw, internal battle.

9 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Pole Fitness

If you are an Instagram junkie like myself then you have probably seen at least one pole dancing video

A video of someone gliding with the pole and doing acrobats like you have probably never seen before.

In this post I wanted to cover some of the 9 things you probably didnt know about pole dancing and how it has a great benefits on your health and fitness…

Just like any other form of exercise, pole dancing has its own merits, just like crossfit, going to the gym or doing fad exercises like Zumba.

You’ve probably tried a few of these different fads but have you tried pole dancing yet?

I tried pole dancing and this is what I found it to be like…

It consists of numerous physical, psychological, and emotional improvements you’ll get from practicing the craft are the main reasons pole dancing continue to gain popularity worldwide.

After a 6 week challenge:

  • I lost weight
  • Gained more self confidence in myself
  • Gained muscle and strength that could probably put my boyfriend to shame

There is no doubt that pole dancing is a hard sport, but here are the 9 benefits that I think pole offers over many other regular exercise fads

1. Cardio

Continuously doing strenuous muscular activities like climbs, spins, and inversions, are definitely exhausting, not to mention you have to perform floor works too during transitions. Combining these routines throughout the performance duration which usually lasts an average of 5 minutes will surely have your heart racing.

Practicing your pole dancing routine regularly reinforces blood circulation which is helpful in preventing fat buildup, especially around the heart area.

2. Lose weight

Many women became interested with pole dancing because of its ability to burn fats. The intensive dance moves burn a considerable amount of calories during workout. An hour of working on the pole can burn up to 250 calories which is almost the same as other gym exercises.

As you learn more advanced and challenging moves, you get to work out more muscle groups and get to burn more fats in those areas.

3. Muscle toning

Notice how well-toned the bodies of professional dancers are? They’re not bulky yet their muscles look tight and compact that you can feel their strength when they’re performing their pole routines.

Unlike other gym workouts which focus on strengthening and increasing muscle mass through the use of weights, pole dancing uses your own body weight to develop the muscles. This means you won’t get to grow bulky muscles but only increase it to an amount proportional to your body mass. They will develop to a size just enough to easily pull your whole body up the dance pole.

4. Core buildup

Pulling yourself up the pole is no easy feat. It requires incredible amount of core strength to be able to maintain balance and finesse. Several dance moves require a strengthened core to flawlessly pull them off. The warm-up exercises for pole dancing also consist of routines heavily focused on the conditioning of core muscles.

5. Increased metabolism

As you dive deeper into pole dancing, you’ll discover how receptive you’ll become to dieting. After all, you need to lose extra weight if you want to be able to easily pull yourself up the pole and perfectly execute all the moves and tricks.

Pole dancing diet usually encourages eating small portions of food several times a day. Eating smaller meal sizes 5-6 times a day increases the body’s metabolism rate and helps maintain energy at a constant level.

6. Balance

Maintaining proper posture and form while on the pole requires tremendous muscle coordination and impeccable balance. Repeatedly practicing your pole dancing exercises will improve your overall balance on and off the dance pole.

7. Flexibility

Although pole dancing requires incredible muscle strength to properly pull the tricks off, it equally needs the body’s flexibility to retain the dance’s sensuality. Pole dancing moves will surely stretch your muscles to the limit with its string of leg and arm extensions, splits, bends, curls, and a lot more other tricks.

Building up your core strength and balance greatly contributes to your body’s flexibility. Improving your body’s elasticity also helps prevent immediate muscle strains and injuries, increases muscle recovery time, and improves overall joint strength.

8. Endurance

Performing a whole pole dancing routine takes around 4-5 minutes depending on the duration of your song choice. This length is more than enough to test your body to its limit. Each move you practice, every moment you spend practicing your whole routine, and all the cardio, core buildup, and strength improvement exercises you do contributes to the development of your endurance.

9. Confidence

As you improve your body’s flexibility, core strength, endurance, balance, and gain every other benefit we’ve discussed, you’ll notice that you’re getting more comfortable with your overall appearance. After all, one of the main inviting factors pole dancing offers is its ability to make you look and feel sexy.

The confidence you gain from learning a new skill and the gradual toning of your body brings about positive changes both to your mental and physical outlook.

All in all, I am happy with the results for myself and my boyfriend tried doing it too and it almost killed him with the paid he experienced the next day.
But with some training anything is possible and even the most inexperienced can get good and look great
