How to Use Crystals and Gemstones for Anxiety & Stress

Crystals are versatile and can be used for many purposes, such as protection, manifesting success and wealth, self-discovery, connecting to yourself, enhancing intuition, and so much more. So it’s no surprise that crystals can be great tools for coping with anxiety, fear, and stress.

If you struggle with anxiety in social situations, intrusive negative thoughts, stress from overworking, or going through a difficult life period, you might want to learn how to use crystals for these issues.

So don’t hesitate to incorporate crystals and gemstones into your daily life and harness their energies to deal with tension and anxiety and improve your mental and physical well-being.

Meditate with crystals for anxiety and stress

You might already know that a meditation routine can help you relax and become more aware of what triggers your anxiety and stress. It can improve focus and your body-mind connection.

But adding crystals to your mindfulness routine can enhance the positive effects of meditation and infuse your body with calming, gentle energies. And if you have never tried meditating with a crystal, you can start small with a crystal palm stone (no need to have all of your chakra centers covered in gemstones).

Sit comfortably and hold a crystal palm stone in your hands. Take a few deep breaths. Feel the air flowing through your nose, throat, and lungs, then breathe normally. Focus on how the crystal feels, and bring your attention back whenever your mind wanders. The point is to stay in the present moment and use the stone as an anchor.

Recommended palm stones for stress and anxiety

The following palm stones carry gentle vibes known to alleviate overwhelming stress and anxiety. You can start meditation with which one of them better resonates with you.

Amethyst palm stone – has calming, anti-stress, and healing properties. It’s an excellent meditation stone for people struggling with generalized anxiety and depression.

Sodalite palm stone – its energy is soothing and supporting for those who struggle with panic attacks and are overall sensitive to stress. Combine sodalite with meditation to strengthen the mind and achieve emotional balance.

Selenite palm stone – will help you relax and clear your worries during meditation. It has a pure vibe that can heal on all levels. And if you want to meditate with more than one stone, selenite will purify and amplify the energy of your crystals.

Start journaling with crystals to reduce stress and anxiety

Another way of using crystals for anxiety and meditation is while journaling. Keeping a journal is a beneficial self-care habit and can help those struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress express and manage their emotions.

Journaling can also improve self-confidence and help you observe and recognize the thoughts that increase anxiety and stress. You can enrich your journaling practice with crystals that carry calming energies, give you a clear mind and improve self-expression.

So choose the crystal you wish to use for journaling and place it on the pages for a few minutes before starting writing. Or you can have the crystal on your desk while writing if you want the gemstone to infuse your aura with its energy all the time.

There is also the option of holding a small crystal in your hand while writing with the other hand. You can write in your journal using crystals this way if you want to feel the stone closer to your mind and body.

Recommended crystal for journaling to reduce anxiety

If you wonder what crystals are best for journaling to reduce your anxiety and stress, you might want to consider the following stones:

Blue lace agate – helps you communicate and express yourself without tension and frustration. Blue lace agate crystals are nurturing and supportive, perfect for anxious people trying to put their experiences into words.

Amazonite – is one of the best crystals for opening and balancing the Throat Chakra. Amazonite can help you better express your emotions, improve self-esteem and distill fear of judgment. It can alleviate stress and anxiety caused by perfectionism and negative opinions of oneself.

Lapis lazuli – is a crystal for those who want to improve their self-awareness through journaling to learn how to deal with anxiety. It also helps with discovering your inner truth and purpose, which is helpful if you tend to become easily depressed.

Wear crystal jewelry to ease anxiety and tension

Wearing a crystal with a calming and serene vibe as jewelry can maintain good moods and ward off negative thoughts that trigger anxiety and stress. This is also a simple way of incorporating crystals into your lifestyle and improving your overall mental and spiritual well-being.

A rose quartz bracelet is easy to wear and efficiently supports self-love and compassion. In difficult situations, rose quartz will teach you how to treat yourself gently, take care of yourself, and prioritize your needs.

Black tourmaline pendants are great for protection as they clear negative energies and help resolve inner conflicts. It can support your aura in stressful moments and nourish your body by strengthening your immune system.

Caribbean blue calcite pendants are great for calming the mind and balancing emotions. You can wear it for its healing, serene vibes, and ability to relieve body tension.

And if you are not keen on wearing jewelry, you can always take a worry stone or crystal grumpy stone with you in your pocket. It will help your ease anxiety and put a smile on your face.

Relax with gemstone candles and herbs

Taking time for self-care and relaxation can improve your anxiety and stress symptoms. You can take a few minutes every day or a few hours per week and just relax, do something you enjoy, and reconnect with your inner world.

Candles containing crystals, dry herbs, and even essential oils can improve the quality of your self-care habits and bring peace of mind. They are also cute and can create that self-pampering cozy vibe any anxious or stressed person can enjoy.

So here are some examples of using gemstone candles for relaxation and quality alone time:

● Use lavender and clear quartz candles when taking a bubble bath.
● Use scented organic wax metals with chakra crystals during yoga or meditation.
● Keep a candle with amethyst crystal, chamomile flowers, and essential oils close to you when enjoying your hobby.
● Burn a candle containing Rhodonite crystals, Juniper Berry, and Bergamot when reading a self-help book or writing about self-forgiveness
● Celebrate small moments and achievements with a candle that contains crystals such as amazonite, amethyst, blue lace agate, carnelian, citrine, and rose quartz.

Follow intuition when choosing crystals

There are many ways to use crystals to improve your ability to cope with stress and anxiety. But your intuition is the most important thing when choosing which crystals to use and how.

You are in charge of telling which method and gemstone work for you, so don’t hesitate to choose based on your gut feeling and search for whatever benefits you. So when you go shopping for crystals, observe how you feel around the stones, which speak to you and attract you into interacting with them. And when you don’t feel your intuition sharp enough, don’t worry. Guidance can come from unexpected places.

How to Bust Stress Using Different Marijuana Strains

Stress is a common occurrence that we can’t escape so easily. Finances, relationships, professional life, and even sports can trigger stress. Although most of the people we know turn to traditional drug-based therapies for help with stress and stress-related symptoms, marijuana can offer a safer alternative for mitigating stress.

While studies on the effects of cannabis remain ongoing, the results continue to support the idea that tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) can help alleviate stress and induce relaxation. On this journey, some patients have found therapeutic success in using marijuana for stress. In fact, some even reported that smoking a particular strain of weed helped them reduce stress and anxiety while lifting their mood.

On Stress & Cannabis: What You Should Know

One study published in The Journal of Affective Disorders in April 2018 showed that cannabis products with high levels of THC and CBD led to a substantial reduction in stress symptoms. According to research, the most effective stress relief products were those with a THC level of 26.5% and CBD levels above 11%.

Further research showed that cannabis could mitigate stress symptoms, but only when consumed in low doses.  When consuming high doses of marijuana, some users could experience the opposite effect, exacerbating rather than diminishing stress.

Researchers at the University at Buffalo’s Research Institute, in turn, found that cannabis fights depression specifically caused by chronic stress. In fact, they found that CBD and THC actually substitute those chemicals missing from our ECS (endocannabinoid system) and then act as a mood regulator, helping reduce stress-related depression. Again, low doses of cannabis were seen as the most efficient.

How to manage stress with cannabis:

  • Microdosing

A handful of studies hint that marijuana can help manage stress. Due to cannabinoids’ biphasic effects, compounds like THC can reduce anxiety in small doses and exacerbate it in higher doses.

CBD or cannabidiol is similarly successful in low-to-moderate amounts for anxiety, but there are reports that CBD can also boost energy. This wake-inducing effect of CBD may depend on physiology to some extent because other studies have shown that high doses of CBD can, in fact, promote sleepiness.

Speaking of sleep, insomnia and other sleep problems can be prevented in patients who microdose small amounts of THC. For example, in people suffering from PTSD, cannabis (specifically THC) can reduce the time spent in REM which helps them prevent nightmares.

  • Taking note of the terpenes

Different combinations of terpenes and dosages can affect the way cannabinoids behave. In fact, they may also determine the effect a particular cannabis product or strain can have. For example, when combined with other stress-busting terpenes like limonene and pinene, THC induces people to feel energetic.

While the same combination can beat anxiety and stress in some people, in others, too high a dose of THC, limonene and pinene, and beta-caryophyllene may induce an “edgy” feeling.

Since everyone is different, it may take a bit of experimentation to find the right terpene or strain that works best for you. Luckily, there are a lot of tried and tested cannabis strains to bust stress, including:

White Widow

This is a popular strain among cannabis enthusiasts, and for a good reason. White widow is a white hybrid between the Brazilian Sativa and the resin-heavy South Indian Indica plants. This strain usually results in a potent sense of euphoria, and according to consumers, it can increase energy levels and improve creativity. Note that not all marijuana plants produce buds, only female ones. To remove all the guesswork and extra plants, you can purchase feminised seeds directly from reputable online marijuana strain breeders.

OG Kush

Widely popularised by long-time users, this “old school” cannabis strain is another hybrid created by breeding several Kush plants, which include the Hindu Kush. Some users would describe its unique aroma as spicy and earthy with a hint of lemon flavor.

You can enjoy OG Kush at the end of a hectic week or at the end of a stressful workday when you need to unwind and reduce your anxiety. What’s more, this strain can be used to ease moderate to severe pain and relieve feelings of physical tension. As a cautionary measure, choose your cannabis seeds wisely. But if you’re buying products directly from a cannabis store, pay attention to the different strains or ask the seller to recommend something that suits your needs. Also, make sure you stick to low doses because the strain’s THC amount can pack quite a cerebral punch.

CBG  Relief Auto

CBG Relief Auto is a strain obtained from young cannabis plants that contain a higher amount of Cannabigerol than fully matured plans. This strain has generated a lot of interest regarding its medicinal potential, although research into this particular cannabinoid is ongoing, so no specific claim can be made yet. It’s a 60% Sativa strain that grows into medium size plants and can be harvested in 8-0 weeks from seeds.

The GBC Relief is also a fast-maturing strain with a completely non-psychoactive effect but does a great job as a physical relaxant.

Blue Dream

Blue Dream is a Sativa-dominant hybrid well-known for its strong medicinal properties. The strain outranks top Indica-dominant hybrids when it comes to THC content while still providing the well-known energetic and uplifting high that Sativa consumers enjoy. That means that if you have a low tolerance to THC, you should probably think of other strain than this.

However, the Blue Dream strain has gained tremendous popularity due to its overall agreeableness with a wide range of users. For example, if you’re new to hybrid strains, Blue Dream can be an ideal entry point as it can offer additional benefits that you won’t encounter in usual Indica strains.

When you first open the canister, you will notice a distinctly fruity smell that is floral, sweet, and earthy at the same time. When you first hit the jar, you will notice that Blue Dream tastes even fruitier than it smells. In fact, Blue Dream is somewhat unique in the fact that it offers an extremely enjoyable taste.

The Weight of the World- How Distressing World Events Impact Women

Why and how distressing world events like war and the pandemic impact women’s anxiety, and what we can do to help relieve the unseen burdens of mental load.

Women experience higher lifetime diagnosis rates of all anxiety disorders, including Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), Panic Disorder, and Agoraphobia. Women who have been diagnosed with one anxiety disorder are more likely than men to be diagnosed with an additional anxiety disorder and have comorbid conditions, such as bulimia nervosa or a major depressive disorder. Add distressing world events, like the pandemic, or the current war in Ukraine, into the mix, and women’s anxiety levels soar. To better understand why and how women’s anxieties spike during distressing times, it is important to understand the dynamics of the invisible — and often unacknowledged —and unequal burden carry called mental load.

The Unequal Burden We See

A great deal has been written about how unequal a burden is shouldered by women, like childcare, household tasks, primary care responsibilities for aging parents, and other life-maintenance tasks. During the pandemic, when, for many, the home front expanded to become both a workplace and a classroom, women also took on more responsibility for their children’s education. These are just the unequal burdens we see — in other words, tasks and responsibilities that play out day after day —which are quantifiable and impossible to ignore. Many women reported that their partners began taking on more of the often mundane tasks involved in running a household.

But when it comes to the unseen, unequal and impossible to quantify burden of mental load, and how distressing world events cause women’s anxiety levels to soar, there seems to be no relief in sight.

The Invisible Mental Load

Depending on the personal dynamics of individual households, a fairer division of burdensome daily tasks and chores may pose challenges, but physical tasks can be assigned, off-loaded, and, of course, voluntarily assumed by family members. But mental load is a whole different story.

Mental load refers to executive functioning involved in short-term and long-term, planning, strategizing, factoring in the wellbeing of family members, keeping watch over everyone’s needs in mind, juggling scheduling, logistics, and anticipating potential problems and challenges. This invisible work —unequally taken on by women — is ever-present and relentless. And mental load — unlike physical tasks and responsibilities — knows no boundaries and can show up anytime, including when trying to fall asleep at the end of a long day, when we are socializing or trying to relax, even when in the throes of traditional self-care routines.

During Distressing Times

In the midst of distressing world events, such as the war in Ukraine, and the ongoing global pandemic, many people can become over-exposed to bad news, upsetting images, and dire predictions of catastrophic outcomes. For women — especially women already struggling with high levels of anxiety — the added distress of such events can add exponential worrying and rumination over virtually anything, from the impact of bad news or illness on family members’ physical and/or mental health to possible catastrophic and life-threatening outcomes of war.

Relieving Mental Load

When it comes to reliving the mental load during distressing times, paying close attention to self-care, and bringing in strategies like limiting exposure to news, relying on trusted sources for information on current events, and disengaging for brief periods of time when feeling overwhelmed can certainly help. But mental load can derail the mental break of virtually any activity, from a physical work-out, a bubble bath, or social time. When it comes to relieving mental load, lowering anxiety, and taking care of our mental health —especially when we are in the throes of distressing world events and dealing with tragic and upsetting news — it’s all about calming and quieting the mind.

Here are five mind-quieting strategies to help lighten the mental load:

 • Breathe deeply.

Deep breathing is the fastest way we can connect with ourselves, lower a racing heart rate and still racing thoughts. No matter where you are, you can calm yourself and quiet your mind by breathing deeply. As you breathe deeply, thoughts and concerns will enter and pass through your mind. Notice that they come and go, as you reconnect with yourself.

• Connect with your senses, one at a time.

Go out into nature, and tune in to a sound, like a breeze rustling through the leaves. Notice the movement of a cloud in the sky, or reach out, touch, and feel the texture or coolness of a surface. Connecting and engaging with your senses one at a time can take you out of your head, and into the moment.

• Do something you enjoy.

This doesn’t have to be anything monumental or time-consuming. Eat an apple, listen to your favorite song, watch an episode of your favorite TV show. Immersing yourself in something that transports you away from your concerns, even temporarily, will help relieve anxiety and stress.

• Challenge negative ruminations.

Imagining worst-case scenarios may be unavoidable during troubled times, but we can start to our imagined catastrophic outcomes. Of course, anything is possible, but how probably is that bleak imagined outcome? Challenging ruminating negative thoughts can help keep them in perspective and restore a sense of control in our lives.

• Start a worry-log routine.

At the end of your day, write down your list of worries and concerns. Then put that list away — and to rest — for the day. It will be there waiting for you in the morning in the unlikely event that you should need it for reference.

Top 10 Things To Never To Say To Somone With Anxiety

1.“You’re faking it.”

No, no I am not “faking it”, do you really think I like to have my chest tighten up, my breathing to become irregular, and my heart to feel like it is about explode? No, no I do not. I’m not faking it, so kindly fuck off, k? K. Byeeeee.

2. “You just want attention.”

Yeah, cause I totally want to have all eyes on me, pity and fear from anyone around me, watching me struggle to catch my breath and my thoughts, not being able to form words, sweat beading my forehead, and my entire being freaking out. Yeah I loveeeeee the attention, NOT. Go on with your judging ass self.

3. “Calm down.”

Haven’t you learned by now, telling anyone to calm down is just going to piss that person off more. Like I can control my freak outs? Like I want to freak out? Yeah, I’ll just “calm down” ‘cause you told me to…Bye Felicia.

4. “It’s going to be okay.”

Is it? How do you know? Why would you say that when I, deep down, know I am going to be okay, but in my current state, I can’t breath, I can’t talk, and I can barely process what is going on around me because everything seems like I’m in a long tunnel, and all noises sound like I’m under water, so don’t tell me it’s going to be okay.

5. “Why are you freaking out?”

Do you think if I truly knew why I was freaking out, I would have already tried to find a solution to fix that problem? Sometimes anxiety hits without warning, out of the blue, no triggers, it just happens. Panic attacks can come on, full force, and I haven’t a single clue to why. So stop asking okay?

6. “Anxiety isn’t real”

The fuck it aint. It is 1000% real. It sucks, it makes no sense at times, and it drains you, not only mentally, but physically and emotionally too. You literally feel like you’ve ran a marathon, and your mind becomes so cloudy and foggy afterwards.

7. “It’s all in your head.”

Maybe it is all in my head, but regardless, at that given moment, when I am profusely sweating, my body seizing up and becoming overheating hot, to numbingly cold, I’m not telling myself, “it’s all in your head”, I’m just trying to ride the panic wave out, until I can finally feel like my normal self again.

8. “Just breath.”

Yeah, duh Captain Obvious, I’m fucking trying to. I happen to like breathing like a normal human and not like a wheezing cat that just can’t hack up that hairball.

9. “Mental health is stupid.”

Oh is it? Is mental health stupid, or is it just you, because you don’t understand it, and can’t be bothered with being empathic and sympathetic? Mental health is real and it isn’t funny. It’s not a game, and it sure in the hell isn’t a fun little game to feel like you’re crazy because you’re different from someone else. Stop trying to make others feel bad about something they struggle everyday with to control and manage, just because you don’t have the issues or been through the shit they have.

10. “You’re crazy.”

Being called crazy is the quickest way for someone to get throat punched. Having panic attacks or anxiety attacks doesn’t deem you crazy, it just means your mind works differently. Don’t dog on a person just because they are different. It doesn’t make them crazy because they have triggers that send them into panic attack mode. They already feel crazy because everyone is watching them, and they can’t focus, talk, or think, don’t make it worse by being ‘that asshole’ who calls someone crazy when they already feel a certain type of way.

A Woman’s Daily Battle With Anxiety: Coping with the Highs And Lows.

Women and Anxiety

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, women are twice as likely to be diagnosed with anxiety and depression. So in honor of women’s month, and a woman who suffers from anxiety here are my thoughts and the things that I do to help when my anxiety is really high.

Over the last year, with the pandemic and still having to live life I know that my anxiety has been higher than it ever has been. I know that for me I have a hard time not going to worse case when I find something out. I also have a really hard time with change, and as we all know 2020 and 2021 (so far) has been a whole host of changes and relearning to navigate. Here are some of the things that I have been doing now to keep my anxiety down.

Take A Walk

When life is feeling too much, when I have completely stopped taking things in and my whole life just feels like it’s falling, I have to walk. So I get the dog and I go for at least 2 miles. Being in the nature, listening to music and feeling the breeze as I breath deeply is something that brings me back to real life. After this I usually feel better and like I can take on something again, like I can actually adult again.

Snuggle up

Sometimes I cannot walk, because of the weather, or its too late at night, so I get curled up with my pup, I turn on some calming music and I lay with her for about fifteen minutes and just try to relax. I also like to just lay there in silents and listen to that. This is something that I need sometimes, just to stop, and take a few minutes to do nothing.

Journaling

Writing is my creative outlet, so for me when things get to be too much, or if I have too much on my mind I write. Sometimes that has nothing todo with what is going on. Like today, because I have been feeling my anxiety so high lately I thought that maybe I would sit down and write to help myself and hopeful anybody who will read this as well. So do something creative this does not have to be writing this could be anything, coloring in an adult coloring book, or painting, maybe you like plants. Anything that will you think will help you.

Shower To Calm

The day has been so much. Exhaustion is hitting hard and you just want to be done, however, you feel like you have to keep going. For me a shower helps relieve anxiety. And it helps me feel like I am human again. I can wash the day off. And I also use some shower melts. They are like aroma therapy smells. On the really hard days these showers are just something that makes me feel like I have taken a break and I can keep moving again.

Connect With Others

I have a few people in my life that I will reach out to just to talk. They are the best listeners for me and know when I need to just say how crapy my day is or that my anxiety is just too high to deal right now. Something about getting it out to someone is very reassuring. Find your person or people. Let them know that you need to hear that everything is going to be alright.

With so many women who suffer from anxiety it is our job to normalize talking about this. It is one of those invisible things that someone who is suffering with seems fine. If you are like me it is so easy for you to suffer in silently. However, if we normalize these feelings, we can feel more comfortable reaching out.

If you feel like you are drowning, do not wait reach out for help!

Keep fighting! You can get help here.

My Mind Is My Worst Enemy

As of today everything seemed normal, thoughts of a normal human would have, then realization happened. I was there thinking again, am I happy? Am I doing the right thing? And am I having a successful life? When do you realize you have a successful life?
When am I going to stop thinking that I deserve something better? And is this how I am going to live the rest of my life? Is my job worth the stress?

The moment of realization

Life happens as I think of all the things that I wish I would have in my life. Thoughts of unhappiness, and sadness barely make any space for the happiness I am supposed to experience. Yet I am trying to make an effort to succeed, to stop thinking I am not doing enough. And to stop comparing myself to others. So I keep going when I don’t even want to get up from bed.

Fighting my mind every second

As time passes by, I keep catching myself losing track of my goals again; at least that’s what my mind wants me to believe. Beacause my mind keeps playing tricks on me, making me believe I am not doing what a successful person would do. And that I don’t have the right to take a break or sleep more. But at times, I see just how hard working I actually am. And I try to keep myself working towards my goal. I keep telling myself to stay focused and don’t punish myself for having a moment for just me.  However, my mind keeps making me believe a normal human being has no right to be tired, depressed, or feel sick.

Not only my mind but my family?

Then I realize it’s not only my mind that I need to fight. My family and even strangers make me doubt my abilities and ways to make things happen. They keep saying I can do better, and they keep asking why I never further my studies, and why don’t I start looking for another job? I feel overwhelmed by all of those questions, but I keep smiling as if they had the right to choose for me. And then I find myself lost again.

Enduring my reality to succeed

Is this how I am supposed to live? Because I keep having this thought, but I refuse to live like this, I AM working on myself. And I AM creating solutions. Because I am sure that this is my time to shine, I know I have a purpose in life and I know life is changing for good. Because life is showing me, little by little, that the wait was worth it, and that I have finally found my path. And this time, nothing will ever be the same.

Is destiny giving me signals?

Life is trying to tell me to hang in there. And to keep believing good stuff happens and miracles are real. Telling me that my mind played tricks on me all this time just to ensure that I am going to become the woman my young self would be proud of. Life is ever changing, like me, like my mind, my body and soul. This is THE time. Because THIS IS MY TIME.

5 Reasons Why People Are Turning To CBD For Anxiety Relief

Holistic health considers the mental, physical, behavioral, and social aspects of the human body. Traditional medicine involves the use of herbal remedies to induce wholesome salubrity. Cannabis is one of the most common herbs that possess top-notch therapeutic utilities and calming properties. Along with this, it incorporates mental well-being and keeps anxious thoughts at bay. With potent chemicals like cannabidiol, it stimulates the endocannabinoid system. Further, the chemical accelerates the pathways arising from the brain’s receptors and provides the utmost relief. In recent years, CBD emerged as a top remedy for anxiety, depression, and other psychological disorders.

Here are the reasons to consider CBD for the alleviation of anxious thoughts and restlessness.

Generalized Anxiety:

Most of the people go through frequent bouts of generalized anxiety due to various reasons. From the hustle-bustle of life to the professional workload, anxious thoughts arise due to many causes. Also, more than 33% of people suffer from generalized anxiety all over the globe. You are likely to experience restlessness, anxious thoughts, headaches, and lethargy due to generalized anxiety disorder. However, reliable natural therapy might induce salubrity and keep the restlessness at bay. You can consider the CBD supplements to curb the menace of anxiousness in your life. With effective chemicals like cannabidiol, it incorporates proper cognitive abilities.

Along with this, the chemicals stimulate your brain receptors and accelerate the functions of the emotion center. CBD gummies can help you experience a sense of comfort and live an anxiety-free lifestyle.

Anxiety-Induced Insomnia

Do you experience restlessness right before going to bed or during the night hours? If yes, then you might have anxiety-induced insomnia. Sleeplessness causes many physical as well as mental symptoms that interfere with your daily life. Some symptoms like dizziness, headache, restlessness, and persistent sorrow can be quite daunting in the long run. Hence, you feel sleepy at the same time every day and exhibit healthy sleeping patterns. Not to forget, CBD also leads to consistent and refreshing bedtime.

With so many options available, it can be difficult to know which product is right for you. To choose the best CBD sleep gummies with melatonin, check the potency of the product first. Not all CBD products are created equal, and some contain higher levels of CBD than others. If you’re looking for gummies that will help you get a good night’s sleep, opt for products with higher potency levels to make sure to get the necessary dosage of CBD. Consider reading reviews from other customers before making your purchase. Customer testimonials can be very helpful in determining whether or not a particular product is effective.

Alleviates Social Anxiety :

Anxiety exhibits itself in many forms and types on the human body. From the frequent episodes of panic attacks to the never-ending obsessions, you might experience any form of it. Around 9.1% of adolescents and 7% of adults experience social anxiety in the US. Also, it impairs your daily life and affects the professional aspects up to a great extent.

It acts on the brain and stimulates your emotion center or Amygdala. Along with this, stimulation of the 5-HT receptors causes an increase in serotonin levels in your body. With an increase in serotonin levels, you are likely to feel happy and satisfied.

25 Things To Do To Reduce Election Anxiety

This election season has been like no other. If you are like me it has been one filled with anxiety. As I sit her thinking about the things that could play out. My anxiety is running rampant. Here are something I have been doing to help myself through this time.

Turn off the TV

(this one has been so important) every time I turn on the tv I feel like I am being assaulted with words and opinions. There is so much negativity coming out of the news outlets. I have had to shut it off. My house is becoming an no cable TV zone.

Get off Social Media

This is another place where people are fighting about the election as well as another place where the numbers from the election are constantly coming at you. STOP the madness and just let it go take a break and unplug.

Family Movie Night

My boyfriend, dog and I are currently planning family movie night for tomorrow. We need something funny that will get us laughing. Everyone else in my family has Christmas on the brain and is currently watching The Santa Clause. Whatever your pick is make it something that will make the evening light and make you laugh. We have enough seriousness going on in the world.

Get Out of the House

When I get bored Facebook is my got too. So today it was time to get out of the house. It is very hard to be miserable in the sun. My pup and I played outside and it was the best thing that I have done for myself.

Journal

One of my biggest outlets is writing. So with the election that is making me a little crazy, I decided to write all of my frustrations out on paper. For either way this election goes. It felt good just to get everything off of my chest. It is out of me and now I can focus on other things.

Exercise

Go for a walk. Lift some weights. Put all of your energy into something else. Make your body feel good and get your heart racing for something good for you not the stress that you are feeling right now.

Comfort Food

Grab something that you enjoy or cook something that you enjoy. We all need that right now. We all need to feel good and what else could make you feel better then some good old fashion fired chicken with buttery mashed potatoes and creamy man n cheese with chocolate chip cookies and milk for desert. NOTHING that’s what It is not like we eat like this all the time. Indulge this has been a long election and an even longer ballot count.

Call A Friend

When you do this I stress DO NOT TALK POLITICS!! Talk about something good that is happening in your life. Hey friends just wanted to let you know I am getting a A in that psychology class I thought that I was not going to do well in. See it feels good to share something great.

Dance in the Kitchen

You know that you are in there anyway making something that is going to make you feel better. Take your speaker in there and have a dance party. Or turn your song on and slow dance with your partner. I can hear that Jason Aldean song now “Got What I got.” It puts everything back to where it is supposed to be.

Read Your Favorite Book Again

I love Rachel Hollis and all of her books I am starting over with “Girl Wash Your Face,” again. She’s right you know!

Listen To A Podcast

Again nothing with politics!!!! How about Listening to the wisdom of Brene Brown. She has two out right now that are fantastic!!!

Read a Puckermob Article

When I find that I have anxiety reading something to take my mind off of everything else is so helpful. Go to the homepage of Puckermob and find something fun to read. Something wholesome. Maybe even something that will make you laugh.

Make a playlist

My boyfriend and I did this together serval months ago. It is such a combination of the love songs that make us thing of each other. My hiphop (Which I recently added) and his rock and roll. It is very us and when I listen to it I smile. Especially when his songs come one I can just see him singing along in the car.

Car Ride

My dog loves car rides and so do I. I turn on the music and we just drive usually to no where or the river whichever we feel like we need at the time. Just listening to music with the windows down can be so helpful.

Color or Draw

I am in now way a drawer. However, I love to color. My favorite thing to do with my little sister. We sit cross legged on floor and the whole world goes away! Sometimes you just need to do something that you loved as a kid!

Game Night

Pull out Sorry and Twister put on some old music like a little Whitney Huston and Micheal Jackson. Dance around and be goofy together. Love each other and laugh.

Meditation

Use a guided meditation and help yourself breath. Yes, all of this is a lot. Yes everyone is feeling it right now. Let’s try to come back down with some breathing and mindfulness.

What are you Grateful for?

No it’s not Thanksgiving yet but take out a piece of paper and write down everything that you are thankful for! It will help you see what is important in life right now we all need to remember that.

Take A Hot Shower (or Bath)

This is always something that I do to relieve some anxiety. I sit with a face mask on after I have used my favorite body scrub and breath. After I wash off the face mask I try to have a good cry and leave it all there. Let it all wash down the drain.

Get Comfy

Go put your favorite pjs on get into bed and just relax. Be still for a few minutes. Put nothing on and just breath!!

Hug a loved one

I am not a hugger and everyone knows this. However, sometimes it is just nice to be in someone’s arms who you know loves you no matter what for your faults and strengths. They love it all. We all need to feel that love and we all need to give that love right now. The world needs some more love!!

Clean

I know it sounds crazy. However, I find that getting my space cleaned up and organized makes me more productive and takes my mind off of the world around me. I am focused on something that is going to make me feel good.

Make a to-do List

Tomorrow is a new day with new possibilities regardless of what is going on in the world. What do you want to accomplish?

Nap

It is all a lot and very exhausting. Give yourself a break from it all and the world. Lock yourself in your room get into your bed because it is so cozy, turn off your phone, and rest. You don’t even have to sleep.

Breathe

This is the most important so I saved it for last. Breathe, we are all in the same boat. We are all worried about what is going to happen due to the out come of this election. Worrying yourself sick is not going to help. Please put your phone down and Breathe. Take slow, deep breaths.

This has been a tough year. The election has made it that much harder. I think that it can be very easy to look at social media and the news and see the worst in people. So stop for a while give yourself a break. Let’s also try to remember no matter what we are all in this together whether we want to believe it or not!!

Breathe!

“Dear Anxiety..

“Dear Anxiety..

We’ve been through a lot together. In fact, it’s hard to remember a time without you there. You’ve shown up uninvited to some of the most important experiences of my life.

You’ve created fictional stories in my head that have ruined relationships with other people, myself and even my body. How can I let anyone love me when I’m afraid to love myself?

I pick myself apart and notice every imperfection. Every mark, roll and hair that society says shouldn’t be there, you magnify. You make the mirror my enemy but I can’t look away. You constantly assure me that other people see me the way I see myself.

You turn moments that are supposed to be light and fun to dark and heavy. You drown out laughter with insecurity and tears. You cut beautiful moments short with your negativity and fear.

You create unsolvable problems where solutions and growth should occur. No matter how much time has passed, you replay the trauma over and over like a broken record.  You’ve made the past a trap and the prospect of a different future improbable.

You tell me that I can’t when I know I can. You tell me that I’m unlovable when I know in my heart that I am worthy of love. You tell me that I am in constant danger even when the sun is shining and I am safe.

You make me question my own judgement and instincts. I can’t trust my gut anymore because the lines between you and reality are so blurry and confusing. You ruin good memories with overthinking and what if’s.

You make it nearly impossible to trust people and form new connections. You throw red flags and judgements instead of compassion and humility.

You’re difficult to explain to people who don’t know you as intimately as I do.

You make it daunting to ask for help because you’ve convinced me that I’m a burden. You make me constantly fear rejection but always expect it to come.

When you show up, I feel like I’m only living as a shell of my true self. You steal the adventures I dream about and sell them back to me as dangerous and unattainable.

You make simple things like solo jogs and vulnerability feel like mountains I’ll never be able to climb.

I know it won’t happen overnight but one day I won’t have to triple check the locks or second guess myself. One day I’ll realize I haven’t seen you in awhile and that breathing feels easier.

One day I’ll realize all those trips to therapy, books I read and friends I shared hard things with.. They were all baby steps leading me up the side of that messy, jagged mountain.

One day I’ll be able to stand strong with my head held high. I’ll feel a cool, refreshing breeze as I come to the invigorating realization that I made it to the top.

One day I’ll think of you and smile because you didn’t win. “

Choosing Color

I’m scared and I’m sad. I’m one of a million in this state of mind. I keep reminding myself that this is a state that will change and one day I’ll wake up feeling super human and defeat these dark blues. That the headache that started in April of this year won’t last past summer or continue into a new year. The deep truth to all this is that it could and that the blue may get lighter but it will stay forever in every ones memory. This can take a toll for people like myself who let their minds live and their dreams breathe in the future. I want a clear ending, I want the fear and stress of what could happen to dissipate. No, I want it brutally detached from my peaceful being.

I’m battling on how to compartmentalize how we were and where we are, as a world, a nation, a community, a family. The blue is bleeding through, it’s a deep power that cries in my veins. This depression wants to get out of me, it doesn’t belong in a human body. The only way it can escape is to be aware of it and communicate with it. Letting it know that the sadness in the world does not need to be carried by me anymore. The anxieties of tomorrow should not be my focus today. What should I focus on?

The other colors. Red that marches in our hearts. Green that delivers life all around us. Yellow that coexist with the light. Stay focused on the lightest shade of yellow. Breathe it in and let it out. What I let out around me becomes my surroundings. I’m tired of being surrounded by blue and sitting alone in a cold dark place. This world has turned into the deepest blue. It’s begging for its contrast to show up and take its place.

To the others that feel this heaviness and can’t run away from their own mind. Play with light, dance in it, build yourself up in. The light gives us exposure to the details within ourselves. Details we’ve been hiding from, a world that is desperate for them. It’s the details in people that have made the hard much-needed changes in this world, and we are all waiting for them. I will always remember the dark but I will not choose it.

Going into the light you instantly become it. It’s wonderfully contagious and hard to break out of once you truly get there. I know this sounds like a metaphor that may not understand the genuine pain of the unique problems we all have. Yes, WE ALL have them. When we universally share a common emotion or thought we can discover new ways to understand them. Good or bad, weak or strong everyone has access to both ends of the spectrum. I want to experience the whole spectrum, the rainbow. A place to know where I can safely feel the blue and at the same time a place to dream in the yellow. Now I understand the place Dorothy longed to go. Now I dream for it to be a place this world can know.
