The Modern Woman and Ayurveda

Who is the modern woman? A woman who is working in an office or a woman who manages work and home? Perhaps she even runs around the clock to care for the house and her family. Whatever she does, this modern woman thrives on many fronts, be it at home or in the office. Modern women are a mixture of efficiency and productivity. She takes on several responsibilities and gives her best in each phase she goes through.

How does she do it? By sheer dint of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. What could be the best thing a woman handling several responsibilities can do to keep her health on the back burner? Finding work-life balance is often overlooked and pushed to the bottom of the list. Balancing a career, family life, and social life can be challenging and can lead to feelings of exhaustion as it becomes increasingly difficult to find quality time for oneself.

Ayurveda in the Life of Modern Women

In my opinion, the modern woman is a powerful woman who empowers others. She is aware and conscious of her environment, meaning she takes an active role in her own health and that of the community. She takes a holistic approach to life and has a connection with the natural world. She harnesses her inner strength with the help of Ayurveda, a science that helps to cleanse the mind and boost confidence and self-esteem from within.

I consider myself a modern woman – a modern, independent, and empowered woman. Together with my team, we believe in the power of the Ayurvedic lifestyle, and how it is the perfect prescription for all things that ail us, It helps to heal our mind, body, and spirit. I’ll discuss these benefits and the basics of this ancient Indian health system that can inspire your quest for radiance on all levels.

A few lifestyle changes can bring us a more productive day and a peaceful night. A modern woman might have these concerns in her daily life: finding work-life balance, keeping up with deadlines, brain fog, nutritional deficiencies, skin and hair health, weight management, age-related changes, hormonal imbalance, stress, anxiety, quality of sleep, feeling sluggish, physical and mental energy drain and don’t forget those emotional roller coaster rides.

The list can go on and on if you nod your head in agreement with some of these issues or have others not listed here; great! You are not alone. These are all symptoms of the fast-paced life and the modern society we live in today. How to bring that  Ayurveda way of living into the modern world for you!

“Well begun is half done” let’s try to decode! To make sure that your body functions optimally, follow these four basic steps:

1.  Listen to Your Body

The first step is to listen to your body and know what it needs. To do this, observe yourself! Take a little time every day to reflect on how you feel. Are you tired? Do you have an energy dip in the afternoon? Are you experiencing any changes in digestion? Do you have trouble sleeping at night? Do you feel anxious or depressed? If so, why? While these questions may seem simple, they are not always easy answers to find.

However, by taking some time each day to reflect on how we are feeling and why we are feeling that way, we can start to identify patterns in our behavior and lifestyle choices which can lead us toward better health and happiness.

2. Educate yourself

Once we have identified where we could improve our health and well-being, it is essential for us to educate ourselves about Ayurveda and how it can help us achieve those goals. According to Ayurveda, each person has a unique constitution or life energy that determines their health and well-being. The diet and lifestyle choices tailored to your Prakriti (Body type) can help restore this balance and enhance your health.

3. Focus on Dinacharya ( A planned daily routine)

Follow a planned daily routine. The main aim of dinacharya is to help keep your body healthy by balancing work with exercise and restful sleep. Focus on your biological clock – Research suggests that our internal clocks are vital for ensuring our bodies function normally. Internal clocks help our bodies manage behaviors and bodily processes most efficiently.

The way your body feels and behaves changes throughout the day and each year. Our daily changes are due to circadian rhythms, and our yearly changes are due to circannual rhythms. Both of these clocks are set by a combination of genes and environment that cycles through behavioral and bodily processes.

Some of the benefits of following Dinacharya are;

  1. Better sleep quality
  2. Less risk of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer
  3. Improved mental clarity and concentration
  4. Mornings feel refreshed
  5. Your mind feels calm
  6. Your productivity will increase
  7. You will feel relaxed, happy, and positive

Most importantly, you will feel accomplished, confident, and prepared for the day ahead.

Enjoy This New Initiative

Self-care does not mean that you just rest or take relaxing baths every day; it means that you take good care of yourself to make sure that you are happy even when life challenges you with difficult situations or stressful days at work. The first step towards self-care is understanding what it means for you.

“तव हृदयम् अनुगच्छ” (Tav Hridayam Anugacha) that means “Follow your heart”.

When you start taking care of yourself, enjoy these new initiatives, and mind your mental health, your involvement and consistency are the keys to becoming a better version of yourself. Mental well-being is paramount. Reward yourself for the smallest accomplishments, pamper your efforts, and crave better inputs.

There is no better way to understand this than by making a list of what you want to achieve and setting realistic goals.  The mind plays an important role to start with, provided one has a healthy body. The body has all the required ingredients of life, so life becomes easy and comfortable.

Final Words

Ayurveda can help modern women to take care of themselves on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. Ayurveda has been helping women for ages by understanding their needs as well as their bodies. The ancient wisdom behind this science is still relevant today because we need it more than ever before. Every effort counts; hence make your health a priority and lead your life happily and actively.

5 Health Benefits of Massage Oils

The market for massage oils is estimated to rise to an incredible $8.1 billion USD by 2031, so their popularity is certainly showing no signs of waning. As of September 2022, there are more than 104,838 certified massage therapists employed in the United States, with plenty of work on offer.

Anyone suffering with body aches, migraines, muscle tension, poor circulation, or stress will benefit from a massage. Benefits include physical relief and relaxation, a chance to emotionally unwind and an improved sleep cycle, all of which are particularly valuable for improving our day-to-day health and functioning.

However, there are some great health benefits of massage oils, too.

They Nourish The Skin

Massage oils are designed to be gentle on the skin, but they can also be incredibly nourishing. Oils that include vitamin D are particularly great because they rejuvenate the skin by encouraging collagen to reproduce, counteracting signs of tiredness and dryness. Additionally, massage oils lock in moisture, boosting skin’s radiance. Using an oil during massage is the perfect way to relax both your body and your skin.

They Have Relaxing Aromas

Though the main purpose of massage oils is to reduce friction between hands of the masseuse and the client’s skin, there are also health benefits to the relaxing aromas, which typically include lavender, bergamot, chamomile and Aloe Vera. When your olfactory senses are stimulated by a relaxing scent, they tell your brain to relax in response, which can help you unwind, release mental stress and fall asleep more easily.

They Make It Easier To Target Aches And Pains

As previously stated, massage oils work wonders for reducing friction. They soak into the skin and allow the masseuse’s hands to glide over the client’s body, working more fluidly against aches, pains, tension and tightness in the joints. Body aches take their toll on your general health, so using massage oils is the best way to work them out and find physical relief.

They Fight Inflammation

Inflammation is often the result of soreness in the body, reproducing itself as visible redness on the skin. Massage oils that are rich in vitamin C are particularly good anti-inflammatories because vitamin C is an antioxidant that neutralizes damage to your skin’s cells, relieving inflammation. Not only do anti-inflammatory massage oils improve redness, they also target the source of the irritation.

They Improve Circulation

Your skin cells need a regular supply of oxygen to function correctly, so those who suffer from poor circulation need to take extra measures to improve it. Getting a massage with oils is a fantastic option because the lubrication allows the masseuse to massage more closely, stimulating blood-flow. When circulation improves, feelings of numbness or weakness improve as well.

Those are the 5 main benefits of using massage oils, and there are plenty more to experience. Massages are designed to be the ultimate pain relievers, so if you are having any issues with your skin, joints, circulation, or mental wellness, you should consider getting one. Massage oils are a natural addition because of their vitamins, aromas, lubrication, and other wellness factors. After using them once, you’ll notice an immediate difference that will make you wonder why you haven’t already been relishing the wonderful health benefits of massage oils.

Thoughtful Ways to Put Yourself First This Fall

Fall brings a lot more responsibilities when it arrives. You must prepare your kids for a successful school year while balancing your schedule and leaving those lazy summer days behind.

It can be challenging to prioritize yourself during this busy time, but you certainly should.

Ditch the guilt of sometimes putting your needs before your family. If you are unhappy and unfulfilled, you won’t be able to help your kids to the best of your ability. Being kind to yourself can boost your happiness and make everyone feel better.

Here are some thoughtful ways to put yourself first this fall.

Make Mornings Less Stressful

Mornings can be hectic when you are trying to prepare for your day and get your kids ready for theirs. Making breakfast, gathering school necessities, and remembering all the day’s activities going on first thing in the morning can be overwhelming and exhausting, even after a good night’s sleep.

Get some extra time for yourself by waking up earlier than the rest of your family. You can prepare certain things the night before to help mornings run smoothly. Plan clothes and lunches the night before to make things easier for everyone in the a.m.

Set Personal Boundaries

Boundaries are essential for your happiness. Use them to block off time that is yours alone. You can set up a particular time during the day that you dedicate purely to yourself. Maybe you enjoy reading for an hour or getting some exercise. Make sure everyone in the family understands your scheduled time off and respects it, even if you have to disappear into your room behind closed doors.

Go on Date Nights

Being a parent means you may not get time with others you love and care for. Therefore, planning date nights with your significant other or friends you haven’t had time to see is vital.

Couples need time to discuss things other than their kids. It is easy to forget what your life was like without children, so having time to decompress and recharge your relationship can be a great way to put yourself first. Consider going out for dinner, taking a walk or planning a fun game and snack night after your kids go to bed. Put it on your calendar and make it a priority as often as you need to.

No matter what seems suitable for you, spending time with people you care about is sure to boost your happiness and make you feel more content with your life.

Schedule Self-Care and Hobbies

It may seem like a no-brainer, but taking care of yourself can get put on the back burner while being a parent. Adding small things into your day, like a nighttime routine, can give you that extra boost of feeling like you are caring for your needs. If you find it difficult to do this, schedule a getaway to be sure you nourish your mind and body. The time away could be exactly what you need.

You may squeeze in time to restart your hobbies or pick up new ones. Take classes on things you always wanted to try or get back into doing the things you used to love. No matter what it is, there is time to take care of yourself while parenting.

Remember You Can’t Make Everyone Happy

As much as you want to be the parent that makes everyone in your life happy, it is unrealistic. Holding yourself to that expectation is unhealthy because it is impossible to do that when everyone has different needs. There is always going to be someone who is not happy with certain decisions.

Remember, you can ease stress by not making it your mission to keep everyone happy. It is ultimately up to you to keep yourself happy first. Having this mindset can remind you that putting yourself first is a priority.

Just Say No

Sometimes turning down plans or extra work is exactly what you need. Overexertion can result in burnout, which can lead to more problems in the future. You may come to resent the activities or work you continuously pack into your schedule. It is not bad for you to put yourself first and protect your mental health.

Evaluate Your Emotions

Another great way to put yourself first is by evaluating your emotions. Do this when things build up or set time aside to check in with yourself. Understand why you feel the way you do and separate the thoughts and feelings from each other. Take a moment to be sure you are doing OK before continuing your busy day.

Make Yourself a Priority

Spending time bending over backward for others can make you forget how to prioritize yourself. It is possible to take care of yourself and the rest of your family, too. Find joy in your life by finding the perfect balance this fall and not getting overwhelmed by this busy season.

Medical Marijuana for Autism in Ohio: What You Need to Know

The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program (OMMCP) announced its inclusion of Autism Spectrum Disorder as a qualifying, debilitating medical condition that qualifies an Ohioan 18 years or older to use Medical Marijuana products legally last September 8, 2017. The following information below is a plan to clarify the application of medical marijuana in treating the core symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD.

Rules and Regulations

Medical marijuana is legal in Ohio, but only for specific conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Thus, if you are interested in using medical marijuana for Autism, before purchasing it, here are the rules and regulations that you need to follow:

1. The only way to obtain medical marijuana is through a prescription from a doctor licensed that specializes in medical marijuana by the state of Ohio.
2. You can only buy medical marijuana from one dispensary at a time; however, your doctor may recommend that you switch to another dispensary if they feel it is necessary.
3. You must be at least 18 years old to get a prescription for medical marijuana.
4. Your doctor will need to fill out a form that says that you have Autism and that there is evidence that cannabis might help with your symptoms.
5. If you are under 18, your parent or guardian must sign the form.
6. After filling out this form, your doctor may recommend meeting with a specialist specializing in treating people with Autism before prescribing medical marijuana for autism treatment in Ohio.

Proven Medical Benefits of Medical Marijuana in Autism

Medical marijuana is effective in treating many of the symptoms associated with Autism. These include:

Reduced Aggression

According to Spectrum, a recent trial of medical marijuana for children with autism has found that cannabinoids, including Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), reduce aggressive outbursts. In addition, these compounds are safe and help autistic children and adolescents improve their quality of life.

The participants showed fewer rage attacks and were less likely to take other medications. In addition, the parents undergo training to use oral CBD oil to help their child with autism needs. Another study, conducted in New Zealand, evaluated the effects of marijuana on children with autism. The study showed improvement in symptoms, including self-injury and somnolence.

This type of medical marijuana is often infused into foods or consumed directly and has shown promise in treating insomnia linked with irritability.

Improved Social Skills

One of the most typical questions parents have about the Ohio medical marijuanas card online also the medical marijuana for Autism is whether it can help a child with ASD communicate more effectively. In addition to its potential as an alternative treatment, medical marijuana has other benefits, including improved appetite and weight gain.

The Association for Science in Autism Treatment has a new study that suggests that medical marijuana for Autism may help with these goals. Specifically, this treatment may improve communication skills and improve children’s moods.

Improved Communication Skills

Patients may benefit from the effects of medical marijuana by relaxing and focusing on what they’re doing. This therapy is also effective for many autistic symptoms, including the following:

● Difficulty communicating and thinking
● Inability to sleep
● Self-harm

Many patients who use marijuana daily report improvements in repetitive behaviors, language, social interactions, and other areas.

More Focused Attention on Tasks

The core phenotypes of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are impaired social functioning. These symptoms can result in low academic achievement, poor social skills, and even self-injurious behavior.

Children with ASD often display poor academic and occupational outcomes and low employment and income rates. In addition, standard treatments for ASD and other disruptive behaviors fail to improve the symptoms of up to 40% of children with ASD and related disorders.

In addition, they cause the caregivers significant distress. Consequently, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) reviewed the current evidence for the association between cannabis use and increased concentration and improved social functioning.

Summary

Medicinal cannabis is helping Ohio children live with autism. So why isn’t it available to the rest of the patients? As we can all figure out, medical marijuana alone cannot fix autism, but it will ease some symptoms to get the quality of life these children need.

Why You Have to Make Time for Self-Care

Work, everyday tasks, and numerous responsibilities can all build up to stress, anxiety, and even panic attacks. If you can’t get a good night’s sleep, it’s quite possible that stress is the main culprit. Also, chronic stress can lead to anxiety, which, in turn, might result in panic attacks. So not addressing the issue of stress and not dealing with the problem, as you can see, can create more issues and more serious problems.

To prevent all those stress-related issues from piling up, you need to take a break. Shut down that computer, leave your phone aside and schedule some me-time.

What Is Self-Care?

Self-care is a general term that describes everything you do for your physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. It can be something as little as not checking your emails before bedtime because you know it’s going to disturb your sleep. But self-care also involves more important decisions like taking that vacation or even leaving the toxic job you’ve been working for years. Essentially, everything that’s going to bring that much-needed balance to your life can be considered a self-care treatment or a decision driven by self-care.

The Benefits of Self-Care

Even though self-care can look different from one person to the next, the benefits of practicing it are the same:

Improving Your Mental Health

Mental health has been quite a popular topic in recent years, and rightfully so. We overwork ourselves in order to achieve more, when in fact taking a step back can have more benefits than pushing ourselves to the edge. So reading a book, having a hot bath, or simply taking a walk is sometimes all it takes to be more prepared for the battles that await.

Keeping Stress and Anxiety at Bay

As we already mentioned at the beginning, stress increases the risk of developing anxiety and depression. Taking some time off to relax and de-stress will allow your body to repair itself so that you can think straight and make better decisions.

Boosting the Immune System

The immune system plays a vital role in defending the body against diseases. When our immunity is compromised because of burnout or extreme exhaustion, things can go sideways. Taking care of your diet and exercising regularly can boost your immunity and prevent illnesses like cancer and heart disease.

Enriching Relationships

When you feel good, you glow. You bring the best version of yourself wherever you go. For some people, taking care of yourself can look like a selfish, self-indulgent act, but it’s never about that. It’s just filling your own cup before you can pour into someone else’s – simple as that.

Practicing Self-Care

There are so many ways to practice self-care and incorporate it into your everyday life. Here are some ideas that we chose for you:

Exercise Regularly

Research has shown that regular exercise increases the levels of serotonin in your body, which improves mood and energy. So staying fit, healthy, and energized will help you feel your best, and the focus is on the physical activities that make you feel good.

Don’t go to the gym if you’ve tried it long enough to know you hate it – instead, look for a group class, dancing lessons, or a sport you’ll genuinely enjoy participating in. You can even include friends or family members in this routine of yours. Maybe swimming or a morning run would suit you better. The important thing is that you do what you love, so taking some time for it will never be a problem.

Challenge Your Mind

Just as you train your body, you should train your mind. Learning something new or pursuing a new hobby can keep your mind engaged and sharp. You’ll meet new people and engage in new relationships, and who knows where that can lead to. Not to mention it’s going to boost your confidence and improve your self-image.

Practice Mindfulness

Being conscious of our feelings makes it easier to process them in a healthy way. You can do that by meditating, journaling, and practicing positive self-talk. Being kind to yourself and to others can help you be more aware of your own power. Practice gratitude and always be thankful for the little things in life.

Eat Healthily

Food affects your mood, and that’s a fact! Everything you incorporate into your daily meals will have a positive or negative impact on how you feel. Healthy food not only gives you fuel for exercise but also lowers the risk of chronic illnesses. Don’t skip meals, especially breakfast, and slowly introduce some new unprocessed foods to your body and see how it goes.

Make Sure to Get  Enough Sleep

Sleep affects both your physical and mental health, so you can’t skip this one. People generally need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep, and it’s very important to go to sleep and wake up at the same time. You need comfort and routine to keep a healthy circadian rhythm, so invest in a good mattress and crispy sheets, turn off your phone at least 30 minutes before sleep (no scrolling), and sail into slumberland.

Learn to Say No

Of course, this had to go on the list, because most of us often accept things that are not good for our mental health in order to avoid conflict. Although we’d rather say no to something being asked of us, we accept just to avoid hurting someone’s feelings, but we end up hurting ours. It’s important to check within yourself how you feel about certain things, and if you’re not feeling good about it, just don’t do it. You’re only human – you can’t make everyone happy, but you can make yourself a (happy) priority.

In Conclusion

Whenever the world seems like too much, it’s time for you to take a break. “I don’t have time for self-care” should be seen as an issue of its own. You would find the time for your best friend if they were in trouble, right? So you should always be there for the person that is always there for you – no matter the situation – the magnificent YOU.

I went ahead and tried out their Red Light Ultra Slim Waistbuster Treatment. Here are my results.

The Ultra Slim Machine

The infrared light is fairly straightforward. You lie down on a massage table in a very serene environment. The lamp head is positioned towards the area that you are working to reduce fat cells, tighten skin, or reduce pain. Each section has the lamp positioned toward it for roughly 8 minutes. The light hum of the red light will coo you to sleep, and it is easy to power nap a bit during your session. No redness afterward, no real lethargy. Just a cleared mental cache from a power snooze.

Are They Affordable?

The prices are reasonable considering the uniqueness of the treatment. It is quick, painless, and spa-like. Additionally, it does work. Here are the price breakdowns for the Ultra Slim Machine.

Pain & Inflammation:

Six pack of sessions: $600

12 pack of sessions: $1,200

Skin Rejuvenation & Fat Loss:

6 pack of sessions: $1,500

12 pack of sessions: $3,000

Would I Purchase Them?

I would definitely consider purchasing a package for pain management and weight loss. Infrared light can help ease depression and reduce inflammation in the body. Something that you can continue to do on a maintenance level. And it is so pleasant! It truly is a spa experience.

Would I Recommend Them?

If you are looking for a non-invasive weight management solution or pain management solution, I highly recommend the Ultra Slim Infrared light therapy at Simple Empathy. If you have recently had weight loss surgery, the Ultra Slim can help tighten the excess skin.

The Down-low On The Downside

My results were good. I lost some centimeters in my inner thighs and belly. Continuing the program, adding the Simple Empathy detox tea, and removing obstacles such as alcohol and sugar in my diet would have garnered better results in the first series of 6. When you go in, be sure to have a clear plan on your weight and pain goals and utilize all of their practitioners. They offer Acupuncture, Therapy, And Life Coaching. You can check out their suite of services and opportunities for you to personally flourish here.

12 Hobbies To Try Before Spring

The winter time is often a great time to learn something new about yourself and get interested in new skills. Especially things that you can do indoors. With the weather being a little bit gloomy, it creates a great opportunity to find entertainment in a variety of places. Even with the spring coming up sooner rather than later, you can still learn new hobbies and get interested in new activities just in time to bring them into the beautiful weather of the new season. Here are just a few hobbies that you can try out before spring.

Painting

Learning to paint truly can be all about the fun of it. This is part of what makes it such a great hoby! Yes, you can take painting classes and learn techniques, but you can also let your artistic spirit run wild.

Dancing

Speaking of artistic spirits running wild, there are so many great ways to take up dancing! If you feel like jumping right into dance classes, you can totally find a beginner drop-in class in your area. If you want to try it more privately, you can look up videos to get yourself started.

Ceramics

Ceramics and working with clay can be a great hoby to get interested in, especially if you like to fidget and work with your hands. While you can take classes and make some long-lasting ceramics to keep forever, you can also let your imagination run free with non-drying clay that you can shape and reshape over and over again!

Yoga

You can try out yoga at any time, no matter who you are or what your experience has been like. That’s a part of the beauty of it. Yoga is for everyone, and you can get started by hitting a beginner class or even just by doing a yoga video in the comfort of your own home.

Journaling

Journaling is a fantastic way to get in touch with yourself, your emotions and your desires. Even if you aren’t a writer, you can use journaling as a space to express yourself and your creativity, and it can feel fantastic! Journaling can even be just a few sentences — it’s all about what feels comfortable for you.

Running

If you want to get a little bit more exercise in, you can take up running and get training for the spring time. If you love the feeling of running outside, practicing a little bit during the colder months can get you prepared for the spring time.

Biking

Similar to running, biking can also be a great way to spend a little bit more time outside. So, if you want to get practicing during the colder months, you can prepare yourself to cycle outside all spring and summer long.

Gym Time

If you’re looking for a way to get a little bit more exercise in it during the dead of winter, you can always go for the classic option of going to the gym. Some people genuinely enjoy lifting weights and doing stationary cardio. If this sounds like you, the gym might be a fantastic place for you to spend a little bit of time and genuinely enjoy yourself.

Meditation

On the flipside from exercise, plenty of people also find that they have a great need for stillness in their lives. If this sounds like you, you might want to give meditation a try. Although some people find that they can meditate for hours and hours, you definitely don’t need to sit around all day long in order to have a good meditation practice. Even a few minutes a day can become a great habit to keep around.

Knitting

If you want some thing to do with your hands while you let your mind rest, knitting and other forms of hands-on crafting can be a great way to spend a little bit of time while you wait for the weather to warm up outside. If you love the idea of making things from scratch, you can always take up knitting and crocheting, which is fantastic for making all kinds of unique garments.

Volunteering

If your primary passion is helping others, you might want to think about volunteering with some of your free time. There are so many fantastic organizations and places in your community that need helping hands, so if you find yourself with a little bit of extra time consistently every week, you can always devote it to those in need.

Learning to Cook

Whether you already love to chef it up in the kitchen or you have a history of a bit of a takeout problem, learning how to cook is a great indoor activity that actually has so much use in daily life. Even just learning a few recipes can be extremely useful and fulfilling, no matter what you decide to cook up.

Hobbies to Try Before Spring

Whether spring is fast approaching or you have a few months left to go, there are so many ways that you can spend your time in order to enjoy yourself and prepare yourself for spring. Which of these activities are you excited to try first?

2022 And Taking Care of You!

I think that we can all agree that there is a sense of exhaustion from everyone. There is a sense that everyone needs some time that is just for them. Some time to get away from all of the craziness that the world is bringing. Some time away from the fast pace of life. Some time to rest and recharge. This takes practice! Which is why I thought that I would give some helpful tips of taking care of yourself when you need a break.

Eat Your Favorite Meal:

Life can be crazy, but eating is a necessity. So take the time out and eat at your favorite restaurant. Make your favorite meal. Nothing will make you feel better than taking a break and eating something that brings you joy. It will give you a little break and maybe help you reset to finish the day.

Exercise:

If you are like me, you suffer from anxiety. For me the world can be very overwhelming, and I have found exercise to be very helpful. It is something that I have been doing regularly. Which has helped so much in the rights have helping control my anxiety. I have also found that it is a wonderful break. A way of doing something that is good for me, and a way to shut everything else out.

Binge Watch TV:

With all of the streaming stations we have at the ready, pick the news tv show or movies that everyone has been talking about and just take the day to sit and watch. Eat bad food. Lean into the relaxin and paper yourself a little bit.

Hot Shower:

The day has been rough. You know that you are exhausted and need something to help you relax. A hot shower or bath could be a quick fix. It will give you sometime away from the world. You can light candles or turn some music on. Add a bath bomb, or add some shower melts. Let your body relax. Take care of yourself using your favorite body wash or shampoo. Wash away the day. When you are done lather up with your favorite lotion. Put your favorite PJs on and let the relaxation continue!!

Walk Outside:

Winter time makes it hard to get out into nature. However, there is something so calming about walking outside. Try it with no headphones. Get in touch with yourself again. Let the day go and just think about how you are going to make tomorrow better!

There are endless things to do to help take care of yourself. So why do we allow ourselves to be in last place on the many todo lists that we have. It is very easy to slid back into allowing the business of life take over again. This has to be a commitment to yourself. That you will give your self the space that you need to take care of you.

Join me in taking care of you in 2022!

Remember that enthusiasm from a month ago? Is it still there?

We all know that feeling. The New Year is here and we are all at home, surrounded by our loved ones. Positive vibes are all around us with a sparkly and shiny warm atmosphere.  Your thoughts are ‘’I can do anything’’, ‘’I will be the best version of myself this year’’. We know you really meant what you said back then. We do.

But it seems like enthusiasm starts fading away gradually as you start coming back to reality.

2020 was one of the most challenging years we’ve encountered and we were all going to go into 2021 with optimism but with a bit of anxiety as well. 2021 brought a completely new promise of a new beginning. Inspiration to live our life to the fullest, something that we couldn’t do during 2020.

There is still plenty of time for you to enjoy this year and to improve the quality of your life. Don’t be limited by time, in the end, you will just feel stuck. We want to help you feel motivated and refreshed all year long.

New year – still old me?

That is one of the biggest fears of everyone. Everything remains the same. Not better, not worse, just the plain old same.

You are back to work, and January seems like it will never end. The pandemic is still here and it is hard to keep your levels of motivation up when the atmosphere feels so stale. You reverted back to the old you and old ways. And on top of that, the holidays seem so far away at this point.

Yet, we want to encourage you to continue thinking about that change and focus more on becoming the best version of yourself. If you are already feeling guilty for not sticking to that promise made a month ago – you are not alone.

January was to put simply – a trial month. It always has been. We all want to have more time to spend with our loved ones, we want to exercise more frequently, find a new hobby, travel more, cook healthier meals, stop smoking, or read more books.

January was for gathering your strengths and understanding your weaknesses better. Time to be more introspective. So, if you are feeling guilty you will soon start to feel bad about the whole idea of changing anything. It’s the expectations that are ruining the whole deal.

Changes don’t happen overnight. They are the result of consistent efforts. Did you know that it needs approximately 3 weeks for humans to change one habit?

Why is this year different?

This year was different from most as even planet Earth decided it is time for ‘’New Year, New me’’. We welcomed a new era, unexpectedly.

We had different expectations of the roaring twenties coming back but what we got was getting stuck in the never ending status quo. Fearful, bombarded with different information, sometimes far away from your loved ones. And what 2021 brought to us is a hope that everything will turn out right eventually.

What can we do?

Start by following the examples and we will evolve together into something divine.

Setting goals and setting a stage for growth

One of the things you should do first is to create long term and short term goals. It’s essential to get back to the basics now and then to remind yourself why this is important for you. The crucial aspect is that you don’t have to be in this all alone. During this era of social distancing, be sure to remain close to your loved ones. If you need support, don’t be afraid to ask. Give them comfort if they decide to follow your example.

It is much easier when you know that you can get an understanding of your problems, no matter how small you think they seem to other people.

Your friends will be glad to help you become an ultimate version of yourself, enjoying watching you grow, inspiring everyone along the way.

Challenge yourself

Getting out of your comfort zone seems a bit scary but it is great for you. That adrenaline rush you get afterward is simply priceless. Yet, this is easier said than done. The entire 2020 was like one giant comfort zone. So, for 2021 plan on it to be the complete opposite of that.

Again, it all depends on your goals. Some people want to learn a new skill, some people want to try individual sports (and would be great at it) or simply learn how to say no.

Wherever you are in that equation – don’t wait for someone else to take the first step. Hang up the phone to that toxic friend that is constantly complaining. Take one class of racquetball to get you moving and to see that cardio training is not always boring and monotonous. Tell people what is bothering you. Ask for that raise you earned.

People are often stuck in the state of arrested development, thinking it is a normal part of being an adult. Life is so much more and it has so many amazing flavors to choose from. But it is you who will take the first step.

Be good to yourself

The most important thing is to be good to yourself. Not to spoil yourself, only to be good. Spoiling yourself is good as a short term motivation but embracing it for the long term leads you to even more problems. When setting goals, the only thing you need to realize is balance. You want to set achievable goals. If you set the bar too high, you will feel frustrated for not managing to reach it. In the end, you will have a feeling that the only person standing between you and your success is no one but yourself. If you set it too low, these small victories will not mean anything.

It is important how you feel on the inside.

Remember to exercise, drink 8 glasses of water per day, unplug your laptop and silence your phone 2 hours before you go to sleep, and prepare your own food. These are great basics to start with. Once you start you will feel more energized, more confident, stronger, feeling that you did something good, and also start raising a bar a bit more. Don’t let your expectations control your life and remember it is never too late to start fresh.

Know who you are and know when to leave

Remember to take your time, welcome positive changes, and leave all this baggage that is bothering you at the door. Ask yourself, “If I take a step back and look at my environment, how many things around me make me happy?” or “How many things remind me of hard times that I’ve had?” The only constant in our life is change. It is completely fine if you are not the person you were a few months ago.

Grasp onto life tightly, embrace this new year and a new opportunity to rethink what you are, and change everything to the very core.
