8) Life is a beach, Play in the Sand
Beach days usually consist of a large Yeti cup that masks a mixed alcoholic beverage of your choice and a cooler full of cheap beer and coozies. Maybe reading a book, or listening to your summer playlist. For at least one day on your trip, spend the day attempting to boogie board, build sandcastles, trying to catch fish with a bucket, and finding the most immaculate of seashells.
9) Get in Touch with Nature
Another classic activity from childhood is playing outside. Finding amusement in rocks, trees, grass, pretending you were in a jungle instead of the backyard in a suburban cul-de-sac. Spend a late summer afternoon climbing a tree building a homemade pulley full of snacks and books and maybe not reach cloud nine but get a little high off the ground in a more literal sense.
10) Slide back into your Childhood
A place where all tiny tots congregate? A PLAYGROUND. Oh yes, now a tricky summer venture because full grown individuals invading a playground full of tiny tots can be questionable territory. However, taking some time to climb onto the play ground slide down the slide, battle the monkey bars and burn your tush from the heat of the swings is a liberating experience to remind us the power of a proper belly laugh.
