Best Lines From Lil Wayne's Latest Mixtape, 'Sorry 4 the Wait 2'

Lil Wayne has always been a flag waving supporter of Cash Money Records throughout his career, which spans 11 studio albums, 2 eps, 19 mixtapes, and a jaw dropping 192 singles. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to not hear him pay his respects to Cash Money, and it’s co-founder, Birdman (AKA Baby,) in some way on each track.

Weezy has been in Cash Money distributed songs since he was 11 years old. The first single you may have heard him on was, “Back That Thang Up” by Juvenile when he was 17. Weezy’s relationship with Birdman has always been a Father-Son style of relationship, hence their collaboration album, “Like Father, Like Son” and Wayne commonly refers to himself as Birdman Jr, even after Birdman had long since gone obscure in the rap game.

But that’s apparently come to an end. As always seems the case, Lil Wayne’s latest album, “Tha Carter V,” has been pushed back indefinitely after the initial release date of. When similar delays halted the release of “Tha Carter IV,” Wayne dropped his mixtape, “Sorry 4 The Wait.” Now, as fans have been expecting for quite sometime, we have “Sorry 4 The Wait 2,” and it looks like the relationship has gone sour.

Weezy has always done what he’s wanted to on his mixtapes, but for him to lash out at Cash Money after such a remarkable legacy of good faith, should come as a surprise. Wayne had taken to Twitter a few months back admonishing the label, but let’s be honest, Weezy does a lot of drugs and says a lot of things, and it was largely considered to be an emotional outburst. Apparently, he meant every word of it.
