10 Ways to Tell if Your Bestie is Truly Your Bestie:

6. And if she does start going out with someone…

   – You have a whole speech prepared for that guy. “If you do hurt her do you know what that means for you? I don’t want to ruin the surprise if that day comes, so I’ll leave you guessing. *insert sweet and innocent smile here as you turn to walk away humming a disney song.*

7. She takes away that last shot.

   – She knows exactly how the night is going to end if you have that final shot. You’ve both been there one too many times before with you. At this point you are allowed to have nothing but water, but that doesn’t stop you from downing that shot while her back is turned. She’s always right. You think that you’re totally fine…you’re clearly not. She may be mad at you for not listening to her yet again, but she still loves you enough to hold back your hair and clean you up. Besties don’t encourage you in situations such as these.

8. It is impossible to stay mad at each other.

   – You try to stay mad at her for something really stupid, but you literally can’t. It’s impossible. Usually it’s because she makes you laugh even when you don’t want to and you forget why you were even mad in the first place, or because you have to tell her something that you refuse to tell someone else because let’s be real…no one can replace your bestie.

9. You’re each others therapist.

   – You guys run to each other when there is something wrong. Even if you don’t go running to your bestie she can always tell that something is up. You know each other that well. You both finally crack each other and vent like crazy. No matter how many times you hear the same story/situation you never get sick of helping her get through it, and you never get sick of hearing about it. Because that is what a bestie is for. We’re in this til the very end! She’s your rock. You keep each other grounded.

The strength that she has inspires you to be a stronger person. Most of the time she doesn’t even know how much she does for you. For example, when you are having a really bad day and you feel as though you can’t get out of bed; she texts you out of nowhere and somehow everything that you were feeling went away and you feel a burst of hope and love. She has no idea that you are having a bad day and probably never will, but just a simple text from your bestie changes everything. As each others personal therapist you see the strength within one another…the strength that they often cannot see or admit to having, and you take that strength and you do something with it. You use it to build yourself up.
