5 Differences Between Real Best Friends and Fake Friends

Have you ever been really excited about something, and you tell a friend about it and they almost seem bitter, or as if they are faking being happy for you? Or have you had that little feeling that someone is glad when something goes wrong for you? Maybe you notice that they never seem to “like??? any happy social media updates from you (it seems silly, but I’ve definitely noticed that about some people I’ve called friends!). Someone who is truly your friend shows nothing but support, and is just as excited as you are when you have good things in your life.

A Real Best Friend won’t judge you and will always be there for you, but they will definitely speak up when they witness you making poor decisions.

Some people seem to think that being a good friend means to support someone no matter what, even if someone is making bad life choices, but I don’t believe that is true. Your true best friend should be the first person to speak up and tell you you’re being a dumbass. They have your best interest at heart, and though they will be there for you and love you no matter what, that doesn’t mean they will sit idly by if they think their friend is f*cking up their life.
