Sadly, This Is Why Not All Friendships Make It to Forever

You must let it go. You can move on, even when it feels like you can’t.

Many times we grow up, grow apart, and want different things in life. Sometimes, you can’t bring these people with you. It’s sad, but true. Some friendships are just not meant to last because they stop being in tuned with who you are and that’s not your fault.

People are constantly changing and the nature of every relationship is to either evolve together or apart. Be grateful but what people bring into your life, good or bad it’s all part of evolving as an individual. Allow and surrender to any changes your relationship might go through and let go of it if you have to.

Holding on to a friendship that’s meant to last will only turn toxic, so there’s no point in doing so. It’s hard though. You’re probably thinking, “How do I break up with a friend”? It’s awkward, but you’ll be thankful you did it.

You have to recognize that not every person who waltzes into your life is meant to stay. Not every friendship is going to make it and it’s your job to remove people from your life that no longer serve you.

The sooner you recognize this, the better off you are. Be grateful for those who came and stayed, but let go of the friendships that are pulling you down.

You will see that the world is less heavy when you surround yourself with people who breathe air back into you, instead of taking the air out of you.
