Spritz lavender oil around your sleeping space
Quite a simple, yet incredibly efficient bedtime ritual. Not only does lavender tea help you zone out and relax, but lavender essential oil improves this effect and, in addition, makes your bedroom smell lovely. Spritz just a tiny bit of this oil around your bed and on your pajamas, or put a few drops on your pillowcase, and you will slowly start to feel calm and sleepy. Moreover, as you establish this ritual into your everyday routine, your brain will start to associate the smell of lavender with sleeping, and it will become an additional cue for both the mind and the body that it is time to rest.
Write down at least one good thing
Journaling can help you bring your day to an end, and thus let you detach and prepare for sleep. By writing down what made this day a good one, you will instantly feel better and grateful. You can record basically anything, from getting a promotion to the barista finally getting your name right on your coffee order. All of this will help you realize that you have had a successful day and that now you can be thankful for having your well-deserved rest.
