I have never been a fan of New Years resolutions. I always found that they were more of a set up for failure. So now I call them New Years commitments.

New Years commitments for 2021:

Self-care:

I have never been good at taking care of myself. So this year I am committing to taking a time out for me and really recharging myself so I can be the best I can be for all the jobs I have. I want to be able to give my all to all my responsibilities.

Less work more of what matters:

As a self admitting workaholic, 2020 has made me realize we are not meant to work and die. A job is not what is going to get you through the hard times. It’s the ones you love and the memories that we make together. So for 2021 I’m committing to making more time for memories and less work:

Journey to healing:

2020 has been a year of hurt, so 2021 I’m committing to healing. Not just from 2020 but from all the years of hurt. Becoming a better me is my goal for 2021.

Exercise:

I know most people will be making this commitment. For me becoming a better me means feeling better physically as well as mentally. I’m ready for more energy through fitness as well to make all my dreams come true!!

Hydrate:

Feeling better physically means putting the right things in my body. So my commitment for 2021 is less pop (hopefully moving to no pop) and more water

My number one goal for 2021 is to become a better me:

So when I sat down to think about the commitments for the new year it only made sense to make commitments that we’ll help me in a having my goal.

Happy New Years and good luck on your New Years commitments!!
