Living With Anxiety

Cleaning

I noticed that my anxiety was really high when I had clutter around. So one day I just started cleaning things up. That helped me feel more at ease and in control of my environment. It also seemed to calm my mind knowing that everything was where it was supposed to be. (This is something I need to do again).

Watch a movie

Watch a movie that makes you laugh. Something that you have not seen in years. A movie that you used to love. For me this movie was Austin Powers. I laughed through the whole movie and it felt good.

Watch an old sitcom

I long for the old days of TV. So in my past time I watch Home Improvements or Golden Girls. I try to do this before bed so I have something funny to think about.

Play a Game with family

Yes, I know we have all been together for far too long. However, we are still together so we might as well make the most of it pull out that deck of cards or that board game and have some fun! Laugh to gather and remember what is important.

Emily Anne

Hi, my name is Emily and I am 26. I spend a lot of my time being a dog mom to my Irish setter, Annie and trying to be the very best girlfriend to my very best friend. I am a full time student and although I am not sure what I want my career to look like, I do know that I want to help people. I also work full time as a teaching assistant. Writing is one of my hobbies, which is what brought me to Puckermob. I love having a place where I can share my stories, the good and the bad. I love that I can share the things that have helped me through the hard times, as well as, all of the good things that are happening. I also love to read. Some of my favorite books right now are “Didn’t see that coming,” by Rachel Hollis and “Daring Greatly,” by Brene Brown. You can find me on Instagram where you can see all of my adventures with Annie, my boyfriend, and my baby-sister.
