2. Madirans and Cabernets 

These rustic wines rich in procyanidins (healing flavanoids) are typically made from Tannat grapes. They have numerous benefits including cardiovascular health, improved blood flow, decreased blood clots and inflammation and is also said to increase longevity.

 

3. Syrahs (Shiraz) and Merlots 

These wines also contain high amounts of the polyphenol procyanidin and area an excellent choice for your health.

 

4. The darker the berry, the ‘sweeter’ the juice 

And by ‘sweeter’ I mean better for your health. As a general rule of thumb, the darker red wines contain more of the polyphenol anthocyanin and reversatrol.
