The things that people do for attention. 21-year old Florida native, Jasmine Tridevil recently claimed she had plastic surgery to add a third breast but it was revealed just yesterday that the whole surgery was a fraud.
The gossip site TMZ acquired a document from the Tampa International Airport Police Dept. that described a baggage theft. Well, the stolen bag happened to belong to Tridevil and when it was found the police wrote an inventory of the stolen goods.
One of the items on the inventory was a three-breast prosthesis. When this story first came out it seemed to be one of the most unusual plastic surgeries ever done and many of us wondered why someone would want to pay to permanently disfigure themselves. But now we see that no one would really do this to himself or herself. Tridevil, who works as a masseuse, said she did it to look unattractive. “I got it because I wanted to make myself unattractive to men because I don’t want to date anymore,” she recently told the press. Tridevil seemed to like the attention she got from the fake third breast, posting pictures of herself on Twitter and other social networks with frequently searched for hashtags, like “#MTV”.
Tridevil claimed that she had to visit 50 plastic surgeons before one finally agreed to do the surgery. The plastic surgeon supposedly had her sign a non-disclosure agreement so that she would not release his or her identity. Tridevil claimed to had paid $20,000, which she had saved for two years leading up to the surgery. Tridevil is paying for a film crew to follow her around, so that she can get a show on MTV. “My whole dream is to get this show on MTV. I’m dumping every penny I have into this. If this doesn’t work, I’m through,” she told the press.
The idea that MTV would give her a show because she has three breasts is absurd, and now that it is proven that Tridevil is a fraud, MTV won’t give her the time of day. Tridevil also said that her family won’t speak to her because of the surgery and that her mother ran out the door when she saw it. The fact that Tridevil would come up with this elaborate lie and lace it with so many details shows that people will do anything for fame.
