10 Things You Don't Have to Justify Anymore

It’s time to let go of the past. There’s no sense in worrying about what you can’t change.

As women we have to make decisions each day. Sometimes, people are going to judge you for what you decide to do or tell you that you’re making the wrong choice. Before you start to feel discouraged, you have to step back and realize that this is YOUR life. Just because you’re a woman doesn’t mean you have to feel bad for doing something you simply just have no interest in.

Bottom line, when you are consistently trying to justify yourself to other people it gets exhausting.

The way you decide to live is all up to you.

1. Education

Whatever major you choose to follow through is whatever you choose to put effort in. What type of education you want for yourself is what your capable of. If you decide that college is not for you, that’s totally fine. Find what will make you feel happy and stimulated. You don’t have to do something because it feels forced upon you. You don’t need to be finding a husband in college either. If you’re one of those girls who is more interested in pursuing her studies, than girl keep focusing on you.

2. Music

Your taste in music is entirely up to you. If you want to blast your favorite kind of music, go ahead. Don’t conform to what’s trending if you don’t like it. It’s your call to make.

3. Cooking

If you don’t know how to cook well, you’ll learn eventually. Quit being so hard on yourself. Even though you’re a woman doesn’t mean your ass needs to be in the kitchen all the time. If you like going out to eat, as long as you have the money to support yourself, by all means enjoy your meal at a restaurant.

4. Career

Follow your dreams no matter what. You don’t need a man to provide the money. If you want to go and be a lawyer than work hard and go to law school. Whatever it is that you really want to focus on, you can make it happen. You have to figure out what’s important to you.

5. Going out

Despite how much fun it is to go out clubbing or partying, if it isn’t for you don’t feel the need to please your friends. You can tell them the truth. If you absolutely LOVE it, you don’t need to justify it. As long as you get your work done and live a balanced life, there shouldn’t be any problems.

6. Relationship status

If you’re happy in a relationship, good for you, and if you’re single and happy than that’s great too. It’s no one else’s job to micromanage your life especially judge you on your love life. You’re going to figure it out when you feel ready.

7. Your body

Your health is very important, but if you’re feeling unhealthy and decide to work out it’s up to you. It’s no one’s business on how you should fix yourself. Embrace the natural you.

8. Friends

Whoever you decide to chill with is your decision. A genuine friend is difficult to find. There’s no reason to feel any pressure from anyone on who you make time for in your life. You’re already balancing a lot of things in your life. It’s good to find people who make you feel incredible.

9. Children

Whether or not you want to have children, just remember it’s your choice and your body. If you want to have a full-time career first, there’s no problem with that. When you raise children, you have to be fully committed.

10. Living situation

Rent is just too damn high. If you’re in your twenties, and you’re still living with roommates, significant other who you’re not engaged or married to, or living alone it’s all going to work out.

The more you love your decisions, the less you need to others to love them.
