19 Reasons Why You Should Keep Doing You and Take Yourself out on a Date

It’s time you treat yourself for once. You’re so focused on your relationships with other people that you have completely forgotten to give yourself some “me” time. You need to be rewarded as well.

  1. Get dressed up and take yourself out to a nice dinner. You deserve a good meal that you don’t have to cook and clean up for once.
  2. You should take a luxurious bath with candles, wine, books, and the whole shebang.
  3. Put your phone down and go grab a cup of coffee. You can finally spend some time thinking about what you really want.
  4. Make yourself an absolutely nice and home cooked meal.
  5. Spend some quality time figuring out what you really need in your life vs. what you want. 
  6. Read a well-written book in a beautiful setting.
  7. Take yourself shopping and buy something you’ve had your eye on for awhile.
  8. Have a day dedicated 100% percent just to you. Do whatever you feel like doing all day. It’s great to discover what you actually want to do.
  9. Go see the cheesiest chick flick you can find. Enjoy the benefits of not having to share your popcorn and snacks.
  10. Drive anywhere you want and just see where it leads you. Whether it’s to the beach, the gym, or to the mall it only matters if you’re happy.
  11. Go and have a spa day. Time to reward yourself for all of your hard work. Your body needs to be taken care of, and it won’t hurt to do some extra pampering.
  12. A nice massage date for one will definitely do the trick. You need to take time to chill the hell out and get in the zone.
  13. Find a new exercise class that will make you feel good about yourself. A nice yoga sesh will give you all the feels.
  14. Go to a painting class and be creative. There’s such a thing as a wine and painting class, and it’s extremely satisfying.
  15. Nails done, hair done, everything done. You name it. You buy it. It’s time to spoil yourself a little. It’s about time.
  16. You need an overnight getaway. There’s no reason you can’t book yourself a romantic getaway for one. Go wherever your heart desires.
  17. Even a date night with Netflix will treat you right. You can finally watch what YOU want to watch.
  18. Buy you favorite bottle of wine, crackers, and cheese and just have a night in reflecting on the week and preparing for the next day.
  19. Take a break from social media because it’s important to find out who really cares about you and makes the effort to see how you are truly doing.
