20 Times When I Needed a Dance Party with My Person

If there’s anything I’ve learned from binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy—besides the fact that I could basically be a surgeon now—it’s that there is nothing a 30-second dance party can’t cure. 

Whether things are getting dark and twisty, or they’re finally looking up, the best way to break out of it is to drop whatever you’re doing, and dance it out with your person.

  1. When he left and broke my heart.
  2. When I felt like a failure.
  3. When I didn’t get my dream job or the promotion.
  4. When I was freaking out before a presentation.
  5. Before I met his parents.
  6. When I let tequila get the best of me.
  7. When I need motivation to go to the gym.
  8. When I nailed the interview.
  9. When I needed to escape all the stress.
  10. When we were both going through a dry spell.
  11. And when one of us finally got laid.
  12. When I needed to stop the tears from falling.
  13. When we were reunited after way too long.
  14. When she needed to convince me to go out instead of staying in to wallow.
  15. When I needed a reminder that things will get better.
  16. When I needed to get out of my own head.
  17. When life was all bright and shiny.
  18. And especially when I was in a dark place.
  19. When I needed to feel unstoppable and not care what anyone else thought.
  20. When I needed a reminder that I am the sun.
