However, if you’re from Kansas City, you know you don’t need to try and convince anybody. There’s no place in the world quite like K.C. For all these reasons and more, you’d never want to live anywhere else. Ever.

- The cost of living here really isn’t that bad.
- Everyone just accepts the weirdness of having two Kansas Cities, one in Kansas and one in Missouri.
- It really just adds character.
- The constant road construction forces you to develop superhuman patience.
- Boulevard Brewery. Enough said.
- There’s no shortage of incredible barbecue to stuff in your face.
- Trashing someone’s favorite barbecue spot is tantamount to a declaration of war.
- Westport is just “hipster” enough.
- And it’s still better than P&L.
- The Plaza is nice too, because bougie people need to feel special.
- We have a Nebraska Furniture Mart and an Ikea now.
- You’ll never smell anything as wonderful as the parking lot at Arrowhead before a game.
- Speaking of sports, the local college rivalries are pretty intense.
- The art scene is legit.
- And Kansas City Zoo is a lot of fun, even if you’re no longer a kid.
- The people are just so nice.
- In Kansas City, you can enter a bar filled with complete strangers and make friends with all of them.
- Who doesn’t like listening to Rocket and Teresa during their morning commute?
- For the most part, traffic isn’t that bad, either.
- We’re treated to some pretty sick thunderstorms during spring and summer.
- Which is probably why everyone is so cavalier about the threat of tornadoes…
- Still, it’s cool to tell far-away relatives that you live in Tornado Alley.
- At this point, the constant Wizard of Oz references are almost endearing.
- At least, they’re a small price to pay for getting to live somewhere so terrific.
