-
You are an adult now whether you like it or not.
-
And it’s okay if you don’t like it right now because being an adult is very hard.
-
We often forget that entering into adulthood is a big change. We’re on our own now.
-
You might look back at your college years in regret because you wished you made better decisions.
-
But don’t ever spend most of your time drowning in those regrets.
-
If you want to start off fresh, don’t wait until the right time, start right now.
-
Take your time with building your life.
-
You don’t have to rush into finding apartments, getting the perfect job, knowing how to cook, etc.
-
You’re going to go through different housing situations, internships, odd jobs, and cooking disasters before you get it right.
-
Because you’re growing and therefore, life is growing with you.
-
No one gets it exactly right in their 20s.
-
Your 20s really is the time when you’re figuring out exactly what you want to do.
-
So please stop beating the crap out of yourself.
-
Because you’re doing better than you think you are.
-
And it’s better to give it your all than to half-a** it.
-
Because half-a**ing it might as well be not doing it at all.
-
Bills suck but they’re a part of life, so learn how to pay them.
-
Take better care of yourself.
-
Because contrary to popular belief, being an adult doesn’t equate to forgetting how to be human.
-
Eat better, sleep better, get some fresh air, take your meds, take a bath, just be healthy.
-
Because you owe it to yourself to be here in the long run and you’ll feel great too.
-
It’s okay to plug out and go get a drink with friends.
-
Because at the end of the day, social media is excessive and fleeting.
-
It’s okay to not go to college if you really feel like it’s not for you.
-
And if you do go to college, make sure you major in something you actually like.
-
Because you don’t want to end up in a field where you’re absolutely miserable even if you’re making a ton of money.
-
Because money may buy happiness but that “happiness??? can disappear in a second.
-
It’s time to stop worrying about how you appear to others.
-
Because it’s much more reassuring to be yourself and accept the fact that no matter what, you have flaws.
-
And for the love of God, stop going crazy over your friends getting married and having kids.
-
It’s their life, so live yours.
- And live a life that fits you because you’re an adult now. It’s time to make the best of it.
