Amazon has an incredible variety of items that can truly help relieve stress and anxiety, all while creating a relaxing environment. Here are some of the best finds on Amazon that I believe may help you feel more calm, even at your most anxious of times:
1. Quote box: I gave one of these to my best friend years ago, and she STILL uses it. These cute little boxes provide daily reminders of the things in life to smile about. Sometimes, it’s those extra words of wisdom that can really make a difference in a day.
2. Aromatherapy Candles: Candles are something that really help my anxiety. Especially these aromatherapy candles that come in a variety of scents. After a long day, light the candle and let the aroma calm you.
3. “Keep Calm and Carry On” Book: The great thing about Amazon is that you have a world of books available to you. This book is one of my favorites. It’s a small book that includes “twenty lessons for managing worry, anxiety, and fear,” and it’s an awesome book to keep handy! Searching meditation books or happiness books on Amazon will provide you with millions of helpful options and guides to choose from.
4. Fizzy Bath Bombs: Baths have always been a great way to create a relaxing environment, especially if you add these new soothing bath bombs. They’re available in calming scents like Eucalyptus and Rosemary & Mint.
5. Plant, Flowers or Succulents: Plants and flowers have a way of brightening up a room and creating a sense of serenity. Try these succulents or other plants available on Amazon. Taking care of plants and flowers can become a healthy hobby and a nice distraction from anxiety.
6. Relaxation Tea: This brand of tea is one of my favorites on Amazon, and this particular one is for relaxing the mind. They also have a stress relief tea and a bedtime tea that will help you relax before you fall asleep, something that can be difficult for those who have anxiety. One thing I learned in therapy was if you ever feel like you’re not present, or in the moment due to your anxiety, take a minute to feel how hot the tea is. Think about the heat and what it feels like on your hands. This activates your senses, helping to bring you into the present.
7. Weekly Calendar Planner: A good portion of anxiety often comes from the feeling of being overwhelmed. These fun magnetic planners with neon markers will fit perfectly on the fridge to help you stay ahead of the week, and not feel overwhelmed by upcoming events or plans.
8. Personal Planner “My Awesome Week Mousepad”: This is an item I’ve only found on Amazon. It’s not only a well-organized planner complete with a to-do list for each day of the week, but it’s also a mousepad. This way, you have your week ahead directly in-view so you can be prepared each day, and less likely to have anxiety due to being overwhelmed.
9. Soft Blanket: This is another thing I learned in therapy: In times of heightened anxiety, activate your senses by touching something soft or warm. Just by feeling a soft blanket and thinking about how it feels can help ground you and bring you back down to Earth. Try one of these ones on Amazon that are plush and super soft.
10. Organizer: Clutter = anxiety. Fix it by organizing all of that clutter into one nice space. Amazon has a great selection of brightly colored organizers that are fun and useful to declutter any space.
