10 Thoughts I Have While Shopping on Black Friday

Black Friday. Those two words bring up so many thoughts. Chaos, a very late night, and maybe a few elbows to the face. We go every year and at the end of the night promise that we would never go back. But as you are packing up all your money and heading to your nearest shopping center this Black Friday I’m sure a few of these thoughts and other puns will cross your mind.

1. So why isn’t this actually on Friday?

Black Friday now starts at 6 pm on Thanksgiving. We don’t even have time to be thankful for dinner before we have to run through the mall trying to find sales.

2. Is this pair of pajama pants worth old ladies fighting me?

I know that my cousin really wants those but the old lady in front of me usually grabs all they have in the size I want. So short answer is it worth it? Heck no!

3. Why are these lines so long?

I just want to buy my stuff and leave, standing in this line for another hour makes me second guess ALL my purchases.

4. These poor workers, someone pray for them.

The cashiers probably are getting cussed all the way up there, and the poor stockers can’t even get to where they need to go because of these crazy people.

5. Man I’m kind of hungry.

Nothing is open at 3 am. Well that sucks, I’ll just starve.

6. I am never coming back here on Black Friday.

I said this last year too, it won’t happen.

7. So where’s the next sale?

17 stores later….

8. Hey I’m done; I want to go home.

Oh right; you guys aren’t done shopping yet. * rolls my eyes*

9. Alright, I’m sleeping all day.

Literally I’m sleeping and probably not waking up until Christmas, hope you don’t want your presents wrapped.

10. Same time next year?

Cause we all know that number 6 is definitely the biggest lie you hear on Black Friday.

Remember this Black Friday when you’re complaining because the line is slow, the cashier’s can only scan so fast. When the display doesn’t have anything left, the stockers can only go so fast or there’s probably none left. Some people have spent their whole Thanksgiving day in this store, and will be there way into the morning. Feel blessed because you’ll get your sleep.
