Everyone has bad days. They’re inevitable. Sometimes you are going to have terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days. Here are twelve quotes to get you through those days:
Wake up every morning with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen.
Your first step on a bad day is to Wake Up! You have to open your eyes, take a deep breath, and roll out of bed. You won’t make it through the bad days if you wallow in them. Try to be positive about your day.
but first, coffee.
I don’t know who came up with this quote, but it is genius. If you’ve made it out of bed, your immediate next step is finding the coffee pot. The aroma of coffee alone should help you get that positivity for the day, and the caffeine can’t hurt you!
fake it until you make it.
The most dreaded part of your day may be having to interact with the world, at school or work, with your family and friends. So fake it. Fake the smile, fake the “I’m good, how are you???? and get through the day.
When you have a bad day, a really bad day, try and treat the world better than it treated you. – Patrick Stump
The people around you may not even be aware of the rotten day you are having. Don’t hold it against them. Be nice to everyone you meet.
Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day.
Back to the positivity thing. Try to seek out the good in every day. Notice the flowers in bloom and the dogs playing in the park. Wave at the little kids at your bus stop. Watch the man help the little old lady across the street. Know that there is still good in the world.
When you are having a really crappy day, and life seems to be kicking your ass, try to force yourself to laugh. If you can achieve a smile and a laugh, you can chase any demons away. – L.F. Young
#YAS My Life Motto is “life is better when you’re laughing.??? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good cryfest as much as the next girl, but I’d much rather be laughing than crying any day of the week. Go ahead and try it. Fake your smile. Laugh in the mirror. Smile. Laugh. Repeat.
Sometimes you need those bad days, because it helps you truly appreciate the good ones.
The bad days are inevitable, remember? We must suffer through Winter to see Spring. Get our heartbroken to understand love. Work hard to play hard. We need the bad with the good.
Just remember, even you worst days have only twenty-four hours.
This speaks for itself. It’s one day. Twenty-four hours. You can make it.
Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. – Matthew 6:34 NIV
Today was bad and you wondering how you’ll make it through tomorrow. Don’t think about that. One day at time. One step, one breath, one moment at a time.
Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow. – Mary Anne Radmacher
If you tried to give yourself every opportunity to make your bad day better and it still doesn’t work, then try again tomorrow. You don’t need to worry about tomorrow, as we talked about with the quote above, but just tell yourself you aren’t going to give up.
Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together. – Liz Taylor
If coffee was your saving grace in the morning, let alcohol be your saving grace at night. At the end of the day, pour yourself the drink, invite your best friend over and have a wine night. Talk and laugh and cry until it’s midnight.
Look, you’ve made it through your toughest day.
Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.
