14 Things You Need for a Kickass Galentine’s Day Party!

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, those of us that are single or can’t be with our significant other are made to be very aware of it.

If you’ve read my Treat Yo’ Self article, you know I’m all about taking care of and pampering myself!

Since my boy is off at basic training for the Army, there’s no better time to get together with some of my best girlfriends and celebrate together.

I’m a big believer in a good list. So, why would planning a party be any different?

1, This special occasion calls for a special kind of invitation, and no I don’t mean a group text. There are tons of cute and inexpensive invites at party stores that would be perfect or there are always free templates online!

2. A color scheme; reds, pinks, golds. Whatever colors you love, find a way to incorporate them!

3. Fun cups, plates, napkins, etc. (See #1!)!

4. A table setup that matches what kind of night you want to have; fun, flirty, playful, sophisticated, go wild!

5. Flowers! Get your favorite kinds of flowers and arrange them around the space for an added pop of color and something that smells oh so good.

6. Food that will make you drool. Whether you and your girls have a favorite take out spot or like making food together, now’s the perfect time to put it into play!

7. An awesome playlist to jam out to. What would hanging out with your girls be without something fun to set the mood?

8. A dress code. Personally, I love my comfy clothes, but this could be a great excuse to buy that new outfit you’ve been eyeing for weeks.

9. Ever seen a drink that you’re dying to try at home? Now’s a great time to work on the mixologist skills and make the perfect drink to go with your food! Alcohol or not, it’s up to you!

10.  A fun backdrop and props to take those #flawless pictures for the ‘Gram! Think streamers, balloons, or a piece of glittery fabric.

11. Fun things to do. Movie marathons, at home spa treatments, working up a sweat, crafts, the options are endless!

12. Having your own card exchange like when you were in school! Top it off with cute hand decorated brown paper bags for the total nostalgic effect.

13. Bring on the sweets; chocolate, ice cream, cupcakes. Whatever your sweet tooth craves, make sure to have plenty on hand.

14. And of your best girls, because what Galentine’s Day party would be complete without your partners in crime?
