Journaling is something that has been around for hundreds of years, and despite the technology-obsessed age we live in, journaling isn't going anywhere.
There are many benefits of writing in a journal, but this piece all of those…no, this is about things everyone who loves journaling know to be true.
1. You have a love/hate relationship with unlined journals. They're awesome for drawing and scribbling, but not so awesome if you can't write in a straight line.
2. You can't leave an office supply store/stationery store/bookstore without buying a new journal (or at least without buying some new pens).
3. You'll write in pretty much anything…
4. But it's the nice journals you love to get your hands on the most (whatever "nice" may mean for you).
5. You may not necessarily be familiar with fashion brands and designers like some people, but you know stationery brands and you have your favorites.
6. You have at least ten reasons why college-ruled is better than wide-ruled (or vise-versa, if you have no soul).
7. You don't even bother buying notebooks and journals that have less than 100 pages because you know you can up those pages in a week.
8. You have a special place to store your journals…and you lovingly separate the full ones from the blank ones.
9. You have a specific place and time you like to sit down and write…
10. But you always carry a journal and pen in case inspiration hits you.
11. Family and friends know what to buy you for your birthday and holidays.
12. You either love or loath ballpoint pens, there is no in between.
13. You love the feeling of opening a new journal and trying to figure out what to write on the first page.
14. You think physically writing in a journal is more rewarding than typing.
15. Hot beverages and journaling go well together.
16. When it comes to journaling, pencils are the devil's writing instruments. Be gone, graphite smudges of doom!
17. It's necessary to have a membership to Staples and/or Barnes & Noble #maddiscounts #rackingupthepoints
18. Journaling is your therapy.
19. Pinterest has the best journaling inspiration.
20. Your life is worth preserving–the good times, the bad times, and the in between times.
