You might have gotten some bad news today. Maybe you're just not feeling the best. Maybe it seems like the world is out to get you and won't ease up. Whatever it is, you're having a bad day.
We've all been there where we can't shake the unhappy/gloomy/overall ick of a day and it weighs on our minds and on our spirits. The longer it lasts, the more miserable we feel.
So let's try to shake it off! Below is a list of 27 things to see/do/eat/say/feel when you're ready to step out from under the little storm cloud above you:
1. Get some sun.
2. Spend time with an animal.
3. Look through old pictures.
4. Treat yourself to your favorite meal.
5. Take a shower/bubble bath.
6. Make a playlist of your favorite songs. (Make sure they're upbeat!)
7. Hang out with your best friend.
8. Create something to hang or place in your room.
9. YouTube videos of cats/babies laughing/people falling/whatever you're into.
10. Literally make yourself laugh in front of a mirror.
11. Take a day long road trip. (By yourself or with friends.)
12. Plant something.
13. Visit your grandparents.
14. Snuggle under a blanket. (Alone or with someone.)
14. Write a letter to your future self that is cheering you on in life.
15. Volunteer/help someone.
16. Plan something fun for the near future.
17. Exercise.
18. Vent to someone.
19. Know that the cliche saying, "This too shall pass" is almost always true.
20. Put your day into perspective. (How long will the cause of your bad day affect you?)
