5 Ways the Beach Can Wash Away Stress

Everyone has their own ways of relieving stress. Growing up by the beach, I have learned that it is one of the most relaxing places I know. Here is a short list of 5 reasons why going to the beach is the best type of therapy:

1. Sandy shoes

There is nothing better than getting some sand between your toes or even in your shoes. And they say exercise is the best solution for stress, so why not go for a run?

Or if running is totally not your thing (no shame… at all) then take a walk on the beach. You can get your daily exercise and release any stress you have while enjoying the salty air and the sound of the waves.

2. Tiny Treasure

If you pay attention while you are walking you might get lucky and find some sea glass or some really pretty shells.

Finding these tiny treasures can help keep your mind off the stress and appreciate the little things. And you get to go home with a gift from the sea… and who doesn't like gifts!

3. Salty Dog

If there is anyone who won't judge you and will only listen to you is your dog. Bringing your dog for a walk on the beach can give you company, someone listen to you, and someone to make you happy.

Also, your dog can get some exercise too!

4.Tan lines

One of the most relaxing things to do on the beach, especially when you are stressed, is to lay down, listen to the ocean, and let the sun kiss your face.

A little Vitamin D to help you unwind and forget about what you have going on for a little while. Tip: don't for get to put on sunscreen… you do not want to turn into a lobster

5. A beautiful view

All in all there is nothing better than just admiring a beautiful view.

Go out early in the morning and see the sunrise or go after dinner and watch the sun set. Capture the beautiful moments and see how something so simple can be so beautiful.

Next time you are feeling stressed take a deep breath and think of your happy place.

Inhale the beauty and let the stress go.
