1. Mountain Pose
Mountain pose is probably one of the easiest poses that you’re going to have in your yoga routine. However, don’t underestimate the importance of this pose! This is one that you should always start your routine with. You are going to just plant your feet on the ground, stand up straight, and take an analysis of your whole body. Understand where your pain points are and where you feel the pressure. This is going to help you focus yourself for the rest of your routine.
2. Downward Facing Dog
Next up is another one of the most common poses in yoga. Downward facing dog is the pose that’s going to seriously stretch out your back and help with any chronic pain you might be facing. You start off this pose in the mountain pose and move downwards to place your palms on the floor. Then, kick your feet out until you are in a plank pose and move your bottom into the air until you have created an upside-down “V”.
3. Tree Pose
Next up is a pose that’s seriously going to test your balance, but isn’t that tough to get down pat. You are going to start the tree pose in the mountain pose and slowly bring one of your feet to the side of your inner thigh. Bring your hands together at your chest and try to balance for as long as you can. Then, you can do this with the other side.
4. Child’s Pose
Next up is a pose that you’re going to want to go into after every tough pose that you do to cool down. Child’s pose is basically laying down on the floor with your arms reached out in front of you and your legs buckled underneath you. This is going to stretch out your entire body, so try to reach out as far as you can to get the best effects of this pose.
