1. You suggest 2 or 3 new places to eat to each other every week.
You probably had a good meal and can’t wait to tell your food buddy all about it. You can describe your first time at a new restaurant better than most people can describe their first dates.
2. Every time you both make plans together, the most important part is where you’ll be eating.
It doesn’t matter what we’re going to be doing on our trip to NYC. All that matters is that we have an amazing meal. Rest can be left open to discussion.
3. You’ve never hung out without food.
Catching up after a busy week? No problem, let’s meet at this great new restaurant.
4. You both have the same tastes.
You both share an unusual love for spicy Thai food that none of your other friends can comprehend.
5. You both have eaten at every hole in the wall in the area.
“How did you discover this small restaurant?” is a question you both will never ask. But others will be asking you both since they’ll know you’ve already eaten there.
6. You both get excited for the upcoming grand openings of new restaurants.
“Did you check out that new falafel place near your job? I can’t wait until it’s open. Let’s mark our calendars!”
7. Your conversations somehow turn into conversations about food.
Seriously, we were just talking about filing our taxes. Now, we’ve made plans to go eat at this new pizzeria. Don’t ask us how that happened.
