The fashionable 80’s was actually dubbed “the time that fashion forgot”. Some people love it and some hate it. Personally, I love the 80’s except for the hair scrunchy, which is acceptable for younger children. Leggings, shell suits, acid washed jeans, poodle perms, big hair, shoulder pads, baggy sweaters and sweater dresses, bright neon colors, rainbows, smiley faces, leg-warmers, and shiny prom dresses are all accepted into today’s fashion styles.
Normally trends and styles trickle into the mid-west a few years after actually first hitting America’s big trends of the season. But the 80’s movement has been in America for a few years. This is such a fun and memorable time of fashion! Here are is a list of some more ideas if you don’t have time to watch a few movies to get some motivation and inspiration running through your blood!
