A letter to the most amazing women in Heaven this Thanksgiving

Today will be another Thanksgiving with lots of food, family, and memories. It will be another Thanksgiving without two of the most important women that were in my life. Tonight as I look around the table, your faces won’t be there. Our family will be reminded that you aren’t with us anymore and although the holidays are about happiness, there will always be some sadness no matter what. This holiday season we are reminded again that our time with you ran out too soon but our memories will last and you will watch over us and guide us forever.

Every day I am reminded that I miss your smiles, laughs, and making memories. I miss you with all my heart. But as we know, Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for what we do have. So I thank you. I thank you for the years we did have together and every holiday we spent together. I thank you for the memories we made, we always made the best out of every situation. Thank you for being teachers. You’ve taught me to always help others when they are down, to enjoy life, and most of all, be thankful for what I have. You’ve taught me to appreciate life and live it. I will never take for granted the short time I had with the women that brought a whole new meaning to life. I will never forget what you’ve taught me. Lastly, I am so very thankful for my parents that both of you have raised. Mom is the strongest and most encouraging role model and I have never met a man more generous and caring than Dad. They have taught me so many lessons over the past 18 years and have helped me through anything and everything. They are some of my biggest supporters. But without you’re lessons, your love, and your endless laughter, they wouldn’t be the same. So I thank you for them. I thank you for everything and I can only hope to be half of the women you both were.

I hope with all of my heart that you will be with us this holiday season and always.

I miss you and I love you both.

Until we meet again.

XOXO
