Writing a small letter to you is extremely difficult when you deserve a book. There is so much to say to a person who has made me into who I am and helped me through every bump in the road of this crazy life.
First off, thank you for giving me life. You and dad deserve a major reward for that because I’m pretty darn cool.
Ever since I was little it’s been me and you against the world. We spent so much time together and I truly don’t have one bad memory about it. If we’re being honest, we both know I would sleep in your bed sometimes when dad was gone and still to this day I miss that.
Not a lot of people can say their parent is their best friend, but I can and I feel pretty lucky for that.
Raising a teenage girl is probably never easy, but you made it look that way. Even when I was going through a time when I thought I “hated” you, you still let me know I was loved. You have always been my go-to person in a rough time and not one of those times did you fail to comfort me.
We have had our ups and downs as I’m sure every parent and child has, but we always worked things out in the end. I can’t imagine not having you to talk to about life or go to when dad was making me do yardwork.
You have helped shape me into the person I am today and I strive to be at least half the mom you are to me. You are the strongest and most kind hearted person I know and if it were up to you everyone would love each other. You deserve the world and all the nicest things in it, and I hope you never forget how much I love you because that love could move mountains.
