Sometimes, the answer to life’s most pressing questions is to grab a good friend and pour a glass of wine. Now, we often thank our besties for being there through it all, but I think sometimes we forget to thank one key player that has also been present for life’s big moments:

Our glasses of wine. We owe you much praise for helping us brave the every day grind.

So to that sweet red blend, the riesling, the merlot, the cabernet…thank you.

Thank you for being there after a long and stressful day.

I know that after an especially challenging day, you will always be there to help me decompress. With no judgement, you allow me to let go of all of the frustrations and just relax for the first time all day.

Thank you for helping me bond with my bestie.

With your help, my bestie and I have had some of our deepest life talks and the most rewarding conversations. We have talked through some of our biggest problems and been reminded why we love each other so much. Thank you for giving us the chance to reconnect.

Thank you for being there after my awful breakup.

Sometimes, after a heartbreak, all you need is some moscato and a good vent session. You helped me progress through all of my emotions: the anger, the sadness, the denial. You were there to help me make sense of this messy new reality.

Thank you for helping me through some awkward moments.

Whether it be an ex’s wedding or a class reunion, thank you for reminding me how awesome I am and that I am an INCREDIBLE dancer. You help made me fearless enough to get out there on the floor and dance like no one was watching, even though I’m pretty sure everyone was watching the spectacle that was my “running man”.

Thank you for being there for every toast.

Whether I was on the giving end or the receiving end, thank you for being a part of the “congratulations” toasts and celebrations. Thank you for being a staple in the unions of two souls in marriage or the reunions of long lost friends after college graduation.

And let’s not forget the honorable mentions: thank you for being there when I saw my ex’s new girlfriend and for pairing so well with our girls’ night movie sessions. Thank you for helping me through family functions and for being there on anniversary dinners.

But overall, thank you for making life a lot more sweet and a little less stressful. You have really come in clutch over the years.
