Before you, nothing ever seemed to feel right. It was good enough, but not quite enough. So I settled because I never knew it could get better. Then you walked into my life and everything changed.
Before you, I thought the world of people who couldn’t seem to quite fit me into theirs. I put up with being treated poorly because I thought love wasn’t easy. I thought this was the difficult part of love.
Love is not easy but there’s a difference between feeling like nothing and struggling with having nothing.
The person who loves you will still be there when you have nothing to your name. They will never make you feel like your existence doesn’t matter.
After you came into my life, you made me realize that love never makes me feel like I ever need to try and be happy.
I never need to put on a show or put my best out their constantly in order to be loved properly.
I can be myself wholeheartedly without being criticized for being me and be loved without hesitation.

Thank you, for making me laugh when I’m mad at you (we both know we can never stay mad).
Thank you, for being my hand to hold through the darkest hours.
You’ve never failed to show me how to be loved and I’ll never stop loving you.
