Dear "girl",
You always knew he was holding you back, but you never wanted to admit it.
One day, he wasn't in your life anymore, regardless what had happened for him in order for it to be over.
I'm sure it hurt for a while, you probably thought he was your forever and that you couldn't see your life without him in it.
As time went by, you started living again. After being hurt or losing someone that you thought you had a future with, when you go back to being alone, you do it differently.
You may realize that roses smell so much better while they're still on the bush, rather than when he brought them home after he did something he regretted; not because he wanted to show you appreciation.
You may realize how much fun it is to dance in the rain, instead of being cuddled up watching movies.
You may realize how much you love to dance around the house in your pajamas, free of judgment.
So, in the midst of learning to live again, you find yourself.
You find out how to love again, how to appreciate the outdoors again, or how much you loved to take long walks, you find you; without him.
You see the beauty in everything again, you see the light where there used to be darkness, you see the how much you were missing out on.
Now, when this next guy comes along, you will be ready.
You can get caught up in him and his love, but always remember to still know yourself.
Don't let another guy, change you so much you don't recognize who you are anymore.
You can be in love with someone, but still be yourself; if he wants to change you leave. You deserve more than someone who doesn't see the beauty, that you have being yourself.
Never let anymore dull your sparkle.
Love,
The Girl That Found Herself Too
