And Like the Rain, I Fell For You

Every path in life is a journey that either leads to regret, wanting to turn back and start over, or contentment, the desire to keep walking.

From day one with you, the only thing I regret was not letting your love into my life sooner. All I ever felt for you was excitement for the future.

I feel like everything in my life has led me to you.

Nothing in my life has ever felt more right. I'm no longer an unfinished puzzle with thousands of jumbled pieces lying around everywhere.

You sent an electrifying shock through my body the moment we met and every moment since a storm has been raging beneath my skin.

When two people fall in love, there's an exchange that happens— she becomes his weakness, and he becomes her strength.

But you've somehow become both my strength and my weakness.

You make me a better person— a more loving, more forgiving, more understanding, and more spiritual person.

You give me motivation to be a better version of myself with each passing day, and you motivate me to reach for the universe because everyone reaches for the stars.

Every prayer, fallen eyelash, 11:11 wish, and blown out birthday candle was for you— I just didn't know it yet.

You are in fact the closest to heaven that I'll ever be.

Our journey isn't perfect, but it's ours to build, and we're building it one handhold, one kiss, and one prayer at a time.

And I am completely and utterly in love with you.

I don't know how or when I became so intrigued by you, but I knew the moment that we met you would be something exceptional.

From now until forever it's you and me against the world.

You are my shining star, my lighthouse, and my forever.
