I think scars are like battle wounds – beautiful, in a way. They show what you’ve been through and how strong you are for coming out of it. -Demi Lovato
She walked into the bar and your jaw dropped. She was the most beautiful woman you have ever seen.
As you worked your way across the bar, the closer you got, the darker she seemed. There was the simple fact that she was wearing all black, but that’s not the darkness you noticed.
It was her eyes; they were filled with sorrow and pain. It was a beautiful tragedy; the way she carried herself with so much confidence yet her eyes slouched in their seats.
Several months passed and the two were beginning to fall in love.
Her guard was still up and he was trying to break it down.
He thought to himself, “How is it possible to show someone so emotionally wounded that she is the light of my world?”
Loving a woman who has been through a lot is challenging.
She will push and pull and fight off every emotion she feels because she believes it is better to be numb than happy or sad. Because with her happiness always came sadness.
You will begin to fall and worry that she isn’t falling in return.
Don’t worry, she will. Her love just takes time. She must learn to trust your love before she dives in.
Patience is your key into her wall. This key will unlock her joy again. It may take months or years but don’t give up on her because that is how she got here.
