Here's Why You Deserve To Never Settle

Settling is what people do when they are content with the way things are going with someone.  Settling is boring. No one should settle for another person because somewhere out there in this big world of ours is another person patiently waiting to meet you.  Being in crazy, can’t think straight, day-dreamy kind of love with someone is easily one of the best things that you will ever experience.  Yes I know, how very cliche` of me… but seriously.  Settling for a woman, or a man, who doesn’t make your heart dance is a big fat waste of your time. It’s like choosing to drink Folgers Instant coffee when you can have freshly brewed Starbucks instead. It’s like drinking Popov when you can have Grey Goose.  It’s like waiting in line for all the rides at Disney Land when you have a fast pass to the front in your pocket.  It’s like driving a Ford Focus instead of a Ferrari.  Etc. You get the point.

You shouldn’t settle for anyone who doesn’t make your insides do backflips at the sound of their name.

You deserve someone who knows you so well that they can order your drink for you when the waitress comes up to take your order while you’re in the bathroom.

You deserve someone who not only wants to, but volunteers to give you back rubs until you fall asleep.

You deserve a person who brags about how great you are whenever you’re not around.

You deserve a significant other who knows things about you that you don’t even know.

You deserve a co-pilot on road trips who plays your favorite song– even if they hate it.

You deserve someone who makes social events like family holidays, and weddings, fun and no longer awkward.

You deserve to be so in love that the thought of them not present in your life physically pains you.

You deserve butterflies, fairy tales, good morning texts, flowers, bear hugs, constant use of the heart eye emoji, and someone to binge watch American Horror Story with.

You deserve it.

So it may take a little bit longer for you, and it may suck to watch other people who are euphorically in love with their partners, but it’s worth the wait. Eventually, you will meet someone who makes your days brighter.  Usually, they appear when you least expect them to, so be available, and be patient. Most importantly, never settle.
