How To Figure It Out When You Thought You Had It

?Life drags us in different directions pretty much everyday. You may have a mid level job that you hate or maybe one that you love, either way something always seems like it can be improved. You may have these feelings of regret or failure at this stage in your life even when you’ve met the goal you set to achieve. The most beautiful thing about life is that it is never too late to start over. Annie sang to us that the Sun will come out tomorrow, it is a great quote to carry with you throughout life. A lot of us in our 20s want to feel like we have enough time in life to still change our life plans. Your 20s are all about discovery and personal growth. It’s rare that the relationships you bring from your late teen self into your early 20s make it to your 30s. Whether it be friendships or relationships, our 20s seem to reveal so much truth and value.

People in their 20s think that they have it all together because we’ve come a long way. By the time we reach our 20s, we’ve seen death in real life or have suffered some real life changing loss of some sort. We have completed and achieved something mostly being High School sometimes college, so we can look in the mirror and see the old us. By this time in our life many of us have already experienced our first heartbreak as well. We have learned different ways to love. We spend a lot of time with friends but by the time we start getting closer to 30 we have less friends and more acquaintances. We have learned different ways to deal with people. We begin to understand a little bit of what our parents have been saying about friends, relationships, and the future.

Some people even enter parenthood in their 20s which changes you in numerous no matter how old you are. There is a true sense of responsibility. We want the nice house, we want the nice car, and we want the nice job. We also understand to receive all of these things in the timeframe that we see fit, life changes must occur. You come into the individual that you will be for the majority of your life. The truth about your 20s is that you’re only in your 20s. There is still time to wiggle around and play the game of try and fail. There is still a lot we have not yet experienced and we find our youthfulness in these experiences. It is a great time to discover who you are. It isn’t the only time as growth occurs at every stage but there’s this undeniable freedom of being a 20-Something. You sort of have it figured out but not really. The quote “Old enough to know better, young enough to not care” fits 20-somethings without a doubt. It sums up our everyday existence.
