I Just Want An Old-Fashioned Kind of Love

Every girl in this world wants to be showered with affection when it comes to the person they love. If you say you’re not, you’re lying.

We all crave that connection that love can give us. Not just emotionally, but physically as well. So how in the hell have we gotten to this point in our generation where we wait anxiously for a text back from our lovers? How have was started thinking that an act of love is the ever famous, “I love you baby” text? We’ve lost the respectable love, the kind that we see as old fashioned.

I absolutely hate it. I hate that we’ve become so accustomed to phones and acting like it’s our only source of communication. This is a half ass excuse to be a shitty partner if you ask me. I guess first dates and going up to a girl’s door to ask her out— hell, even talking to someone for the first time in person has become a thing of the past.

But I promise you that there are some still around. So why are we sitting around, twiddling our thumbs waiting for them to find us? We should be doing anything but waiting. We need to show the shitty men out there that we know what we want, and if they can’t man up, then they can have fun being alone.

Be that strong independent girl that won’t settle for anything less than the very best. You know what you’re looking for, and you want a man that knows what he wants as well.

You need to be a fighter for that man. You know that your dream love is out there, fighting his way through the bad break ups and almost loves to find you.

Don’t ever settle for something with someone that’s not giving you their all. Because if you do, one day that man of your dreams could very well be passing by, and you will be wasting your time with the wrong person because you have given up the fight.

You are a queen, and you should be demanding to be treated like one. Let all the men out there know that until you come face to face with your king.
