I May be Single this Valentines Day but I’m Okay with That

Happy single on Valentine’s Day?

Are you happily single this Valentine’s Day? I haven’t had a serious relationship since September 2015. Sure, I dated and had some flings in the spring and summer of 2016 but it was never particularly serious for one reason or another. While it’s sometimes hard for me to be patient and wait for a guy who will truly get me, I’m feeling great in saying that I may be single this Valentine’s Day but I’m okay with that.

Single and Good

You don’t need a significant other to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day is celebrating all different kinds of loves. Parents, siblings, relatives, friends, pets. I can give cards, candy, hugs, and kisses to those closest to me on Valentine’s Day. And I can give them giant candy hearts, or giant stuffed animals. I can give them a big box of chocolates, and a sweet card. And I don’t need a partner to be able to do that. I can celebrate the kind of love I have in my life right now. So I will, instead of feeling sad for the kind of love I don’t have in my life right now.

You Don’t Need a Partner to Celebrate

You don’t need a partner to dress up for Valentine’s Day. Dress up in pink, red, or purple clothing. Or dress in all of the colors associated with Valentine’s Day. Wear heart accessories. Paint your nails in honor of Valentine’s Day. You don’t need anyone to be able to do that. You are a happy single. And you just need yourself. And maybe a girl friend or two to make it a girls day 😉

Share Your Heart with Friends and Family

You can go out on Valentine’s Day partner or not. You can go out with friends, family, or hell even by yourself. Treat others, or yourself to the kind of love they (or you) deserve. Order up your favorite food at a restaurant. Get that ice cream sundae. Pay for dinner for you and your Mom. Get your friend their favorite desert from Dairy Queen. Sweet actions on Valentine’s Day do not need to be for your significant other.
